Do you remember when life used to be easy

Mornings were soft and vivid

Felt like they presented new possibilities

Trees were tall and proud like our friend's eyes

Not a single trace of tiredom or disappointment

Our bikes were worn out yet beautiful

But that was not the case for me

I am glass, strengthened and formed by fire, but easily broken.

And from my broken pieces I will create the mosaic of my life.

These broken pieces may make me bleed and leave scars, but it will all be worth it in the end.

When I die, and only then, is when people will actually look at the masterpiece I have created.

Every intricate detail telling the story of how I rose and fell and got back up.

People will see what they want to see, ignoring the mistakes and the ugly parts, praising the beautiful aspects.

But they don't understand that the messy bits are just as important, they are what make my finished piece what it is.

I am as proud as Jace Herondale. I am strong, and known for it- but you, you are the only person that'd make me bend.

Because no matter how much you want to keep a person even with the best intentions you have, sometimes it just won't be enough.

If it's not meant to be, It won't be. No matter how badly you wanted it. No matter how much effort you put into it. You can't just force things to happen.

Thing is no matter how badly you got hurt, It doesn't give you the right to hurt another person, to play with a person's feelings, to use a person as an escape for your misery.

Never ever seek love when you're lonely or just to try out. Love is a long-term commitment. When you commit, you don't just look into the now but for more years into the future. Believe me, when you hurt a person there will come a time in your life that the universe will get back at you. It might not be immediately but eventually you will have your lesson. The universe has an unprecedented way of making us learn from our mistakes. And when it did, It's going to make sure you're not going to return to your old ways again.

I was hopeless romantic before dreaming of fairytales and castles but by this pain I endured-
