"Orpheus" by Melchior Lechter, 1896
Orpheus's Sorrow (1876), Pascal Adolphe Jean Dagnan-Bouveret
I made an Eulamber animatic!
I love them so much you can’t even imagine
Sometimes a family can be you (a workaholic suffering from emotional burnout), a moon sapphic with countless children, a gay warrior couple who keep arguing about onions, the straight couple that sings beautiful duets together, the genius gardener your little brother set you up with, a three headed dog that won't stop eating rats, your mother-in-law who hates all of humanity, your entire extended family that can't keep their shit together, and the kind-hearted bisexual you're all raising, and I think that's beautiful.
ok but like. orpheus and eurydice would simply be too powerful as a sapphic couple but also. gay people
