Let me talk about a ship crossover

This ship crossover was Merlin / Tom Riddle from the show Merlin BBC and Harry Potter

Imagine your OTP’s from different fandoms on a double date

How was it arranged? How did they meet? How would it go?

For me, it would be FitzSimmons from Agents of Shield and Peraltialgo from Brooklyn 99. How great would that be? Amy and Fitz would meet at one Amy’s math conferences, most likely with Fitz as a speaker. They would start bonding over math and move onto bonding onto their love for their spouses (”OMG! I still can’t be I’m married to the love of my life ”). Since a friendship between members of the NYPD and SHIELD would build a symbiotic rapport between the organizations, Amy suggests a double date between newlyweds. When Jemma hears about her offer she leaps on it. 

As for the actual date, Fitz and Jake would talk about how amazing and smart and pretty and kind their wives (”my wife!”) are, while Jemma and Amy discuss how much they love their husbands’ (”my husband!”) butts (”It’s so symmetrical.” “It’s so perky.”). Jake interjects with a “Hell ya, they are.” The conversation goes to what celebrities they would like to have threesomes with. When Amy and Jake say “Quake” at the same time, Fitz spits out his drink and Jemma says, “we can make that happen,” while Fitz recovers with “Daisy’d be into it.” Jemma proceeds to talk about Fitz’s massive crush on Daisy when they first met just to see how red she can make him. If Fitzsimmons gave any inkling of thier trials, Jake would (1) believe them without a doubt, and (2) fanboy over it (”You’re like several modern day fairytales rolled into one!”). And it goes on. OK, so I should point out that the last one would have to happen at a later date when Fitzsimmons know with absolute certainty they could trust them with it. 

All of this would lead to SHIELD consulting with the NYPD and vice versa. The B99 team would freak out over the ICER’s with their handprint required handles and DWARFES (”OMG! How many lives could be saved if all law enforcement officers were issued one of these? How much faster we could resolve an investigation with those drones? No Jake, you cannot use the remote for Sleepy...or Happy...or Dopey...Just stop.”)

I’ve had too many thoughts on this. What about other OTP’s, please add yours.

As a huge Untamed fan, I really don’t need much to recognize when a queer ship is canon.

Cut sleeve? I raise you shared looks.

Sitting on your bestie’s roof? I raise you stroking your bestie’s D&D binder while tearing up.

Bowing three times? I raise you staring at your homie’s lips every chance you get.

Him touching your forehead ribbon? I raise you S4 bedroom scene’s “cool.”

Wanting to hide bestie away at your place? I raise you a monologue that speaks of time slowing down, like in some lame-o movie, when you realize you like someone. Then, a few scenes later, bestie staring at you with literal heart eyes and heaving bosom after you just saved him like some cliche damsel in distress in a Harlequin romance novel. And guess what? Time slows down from his POV.

“You like Mian Mian?,” followed by bestie’s exasperated look? I raise you not being able to say I love you to your girlfriend but telling bestie that you don’t need to use words to express your feelings to each other because you already understand what doesn’t need to be said followed by such intense eye banging that you both physically jump when interrupted.

The Untamed had no kiss. No direct love confession. Just two broskis eventually promising to walk the narrow path together until it’s dark after decades of losing each other in small and big ways, over and over, again, yet always finding their way back home.

Sound familiar?

You know what I pictured for a Byler epilogue or confirmation scene that would still allow adequate respect and closure to any existing relationships and keep most of the existing script intact?

No kiss. Not even a hug. Not even a direct confession.

Just future Will sitting alone at a table, checking his watch a few times. Then he looks up.

The camera pans to Mike entering the bar. Mike looks around and then his gaze lands— and there’s that look. That smile. The one only ever reserved for Will.

No kiss. They’re not even framed together in the final shot. But we understand what doesn’t need to be said.

An ending like The Untamed. A story also just about two broskis in love.

In a fit of rage at the sight of his Moon Princess hurt, Gohan snaps momentarily and beats the offender near death. When Chibiusa regains consciousness, her light brings Gohan back to himself. His relief at seeing Chibiusa alive and more or less well is disorienting. He basks in her light and warmth as she reassures him that she’s fine.
