I, for one, liked Matrix Resurrections a lot! I’m going to watch it again on Sunday, and I’ll be able to pay closer attention to the details then, but at first blush, *chef’s kiss* for confirmation to the old theory that neither Trinity nor Neo could be The One on their own, that the power comes from them together, and specifically from the choice to love each other. ❤️❤️❤️ For a movie in a series that is a trans allegory, I do wish that we saw even one person who presented a different gender in The Matrix. And on the one hand, they could have been more blatant with their canon gays (Bugs/Lexy), but then again the movie really is primarily about Trinity and Neo’s love story. 🥰🥰🥰 And look, I’m a simple girl, I love a good Badass-Woman-Kicking-Ass moment so the ending was a-o-good by me! 😊😊😊 I was right, Keanu’s puppy eyes were emotionally destroying, and I really honestly do love the character of Neo. No one else could have played a character who does so much violence while truly being a gentle soul. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so glad Lana didn’t hoodwink us with the trailer and then pull some whack shit like killing Trinity or having her choose to stay in the matrix just to mess with us. I trusted, and have been rewarded. 🙌🙌🙌 Anyway, I’m mostly happy and looking forward to the fanfiction!
