This gift is a month late, my main drawing scanner was acting up, but I did want to give my gift anyways. So, a compromise between my Brother printer and my phone camera happened, hence this post.
Happy birthday, @owlsofstarlight. I hope the month-long wait was worth it, because you have been an amazing friend and even in my "Dusk"/Overcast form, I still feel like a Cherrim with you. Love you platonically.

Isabel has figured out a way to embroider with only one hand! George has helped by whittling a few parts, but she’s set up a adjustable stand that holds a hoop, so she can move it around without too much trouble. She still needs some help fitting the fabric into the hoop, she’s a little messy with her stitches, but she’s still practicing, after all~ She loves to decorate her skirts and shirts with flowers and vines, and little song birds! She’s also put a few little cute flowers on Caelin’s clothes, too. ^u^
Which is hilarious when you recall she’s a badass, plundering pirate.

oh my GOD just call him isaac. “the second” can you believe the pretentiousness of being something something “the second”
yes he’s trans but he didn’t actually pick his dad’s name, it sort of... happened... by default... and it’s actually a little sad in context. but we should dunk on him about it anyway because isaac’s love language is getting dunked on
he’s in a weird place identity-wise where he’s 1) a socially transitioned trans guy, but he doesn’t talk about it with almost anyone 2) definitely also nonbinary but doesn’t think anyone will take him seriously so he pretends not to see it and 3) absolutely bisexual and barely even denying it anymore but he’s just like “i am not going to deal with that until i absolutely have to”
...which is generally his mantra for dealing with things in general.

his actual dad (isaac ian farley the FIRST, who i generally refer to as “mr farley” or “casper the unfriendly ghost”) was the town mayor until he died when isaac was nine.
now his UNCLE is the mayor. interesting how those things go.
isaac used to be the kind of kid that people describe as “bright” and “full of potential.”
...that stopped being true around freshman year of high school when the brainbads hit in full. now the only class he’s even a little good at is english, because the kid has a way with words.
...specifically he is really, really good at cutting someone to their absolute core with one sentence. which is his only defense mechanism.

ONE / name / alias: I generally go by as Veronica, my real name, or Asch, my alias. I’ll answer to anything, though--people tend to mix up V names (ie. Victoria/Vanessa/Veronica--I’ve met a number of Veronicas who’ve had the same struggle) and it’s made me truly indifferent to what I’m called lol
FIVE / hobbies: Writing, for sure, although at this point that’s also partially an ideal career and an obsession. But also reading, video games, and eating cooking!
SIX / favorite colors: Purples, teals/cyans/green-blues, and grays.
SEVEN / favourite books: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov is my all-time favorite, and Nabokov’s The Defense is also one of my dear favorites, as are the First Law Trilogy & The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. The Hot Zone by Richard Preston, Level 4: Virus Hunters of the CDC by Joseph B McCormick and Susan Fischer-Hoch, and pretty much any other epidemiological book I’ve ever touched are also faves that I can never get enough of.

NINE / last film watched: I honestly don’t watch many movies, but the last one I watched beginning to end was Night School lmao
TEN / inspiration for muse: Everything. Absolutely everything. Nature / weather / mythology / music / other characters / real people / etc., I’m constantly refilling my well of inspiration.
ELEVEN / dream job: Full time author who can afford her mortgage? Yes. But I’m also very, very enthusiastic about the idea of working in the field of biodefense/biosecurity.
TWELVE / meaning behind your URL: Asch is my pen-name, and I’ve always been--admittedly arbitrarily--drawn to including ink in my usernames, so I settled with aschenink sort of as a play on asch/ash. In hindsight I wish I’d just gone basic with aschwrites or something, but I’m way too deep into this to bother changing my url now, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@writer-and-artist27 is the sweetest person and puts so much energy into giving feedback and responses to everyone's work and she deserves all the love back and so much more. she tries so hard to be respectful of people and listens and learns and I've got to watch her grow into such a great writer who is unfailingly sweet and I wish she could see how great she really is
