So... there’s this one video on YouTube talking about how Kingdom Hearts III was a waste of effort. And maybe I shouldn’t judge the video until I watch it (if I watch it). And everyone’s entitled to their opinion, of course.
...But I just don’t understand how. Ever since Birth by Sleep, everything had been building up to that: that the heroes we lost in that game--Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, as well as Roxas, Xion, Naminé, and Axel--could actually be saved from their grim fates. And KHIII was the game to finally do that.
It also set up that Xehanort was going to try and recreate the Keyblade War... and KHIII was the game where that finally happened.
And KHIII is our last game as Xehanort as the main villain--where he’s finally finally finally defeated for good--and the grand finale for this saga.
Would they have rather this game not been made, and we have not gotten closure for all this stuff they setup?
Like, no matter how disappointed you were in KHIII for whatever reason, I just don’t get that logic at all.
Unless they’re one of those “the series should have ended after KHII” people. Perhaps they are.
