The Academy Awards x Greenhouse Viewing Party Menu

This Sunday, it’s the 94th Academy Awards, and this year, the hosts are back! We’re using that as an excuse to play host ourselves — a viewing party, complete with a themed plant-based menu.

Don your tux or designer dress, then roll up the sleeves and get stuck in! (Just try not to chop or mix too vigorously, or you may undo that perfectly coiffed hairdo).

The Power of the Dog

The Power of the (Ants on a) Log is that they’re an easy yet elevated snacking option for pre-awards milling and munching, and can be dressed up in practically infinite ways to suit your guests’ tastes (or the current contents of your pantry).

Liquorish Pizza

This movie’s namesake comes from a slang term for a vinyl record, and while it certainly draws intrigue, we think in practice, the resulting pie (and the smell from the oven as it cooks) may not be quite so intriguing... We do, however, support inventiveness in the kitchen, and so to pay homage, we’re serving up another rather unconventional pizza tonight — Cauliflower Crust Green Pea-zza.

These tennis ball-hued Key Lime Bites by Tara Tomulka of Rawcology are raw (just like Serena and Venus’ talent) and make for perfect light bites for post-dinner snacking.

Once in a while, we need to treat or pamper ourselves with fried foods, to lift our spirits and mood. So, I thought of having a cheat meal/day. It’s like our festival and special days, we rejuvenate with the festive mood and food. Now, it’s a similar moment after a long marathon of healthy recipes, we will feast ourselves with some goodies. After saying that, I came up with this recipe, which is a double dhamaka, 2 shots in 1 stone, a fried delight with hidden cheese in it..😍😍❤. I prepared Croquettes for this week’s recipe, stuffed with melting Mozzarella cheese and spiced up with Jalapeno chunks. When this fried delicacy is pulled apart, you’ll be enchanted to see the molten beauty of cheese inside oozing out. Here, I Indianised the croquettes by adding a dash of thick Green chutney and added tiny chunks of Jalapeno to the cheese stuffing to give an extra zing to the dish. If you are looking for an easy bite for your Eid get-together, kitty parties, birthday, anniversary parties, this Potato cheese croquette is a perfect choice.

Seeing as Pink Milk has long since left our stores *single tear emoji* we recommend subbing in our Almondmilk with a couple of tbsps beet juice, a tsp of dehydrated beet crystals, or some frozen raspberries or strawberries to achieve the correct hue.
