Throughout its officially now 35 years of existence, Sonic the Hedgehog has had tons of fast food tie-ins.
Carl's Jr.
Jack-in-the-Box.
Red Rooster.
Subway.
Arby's (of all places).
I-Hop.
Denny's
Kura Sushi
Burger King.
And of course, McDonalds.
But for decades, there's been one establishment that they haven't done.
Which has baffled just about everyone, given how it would seem like an obvious choice.
That restaurant being none other than.....
This literally writes itself.
So in honor of the Blue Blur's 35th anniversary, I wanted to share what I think a potential collaboration could be like.
The collaboration would see three sets of collectible items.
The first would be a series of rev-up toys that would be included in The Wacky Packs, each with their own glowing effects as they move along.
These toys would include Sonic (blue), Tails (yellow), Knuckles (red), Eggman (gray), Amy (pink), Shadow (crimson), Metal Sonic (dark blue), Silver (cyan), Espio (purple) and Blaze (orange).
The second would be a series of Sonic variant plushies.
These would include Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic, Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic, Adventure 2 Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, and Werehog Sonic.
And the third would be a set of clear coloring-changing cups with characters on them, and lids with big gold ring rims.
These would include Sonic (which turns blue), Tails (which turns yellow), Knuckles (which turns red), Amy (which turns pink), and Team Chaotix (which turns green).
Now we come to the real meat of this post: the menu.
As you would expect, the menu would feature items themed around Sonic characters.
For the entrees, there's.....
-Super Sonic Chili Dog: A regular or footlong beef hot dog topped with savory beef chili, melted cheddar cheese, and a mix of diced white onions and mini onion rings.
-Knuckles' Flaming Disaster Chicken Sandwich: A crispy chicken filet coated in fiery buffalo sauce, topped with pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and spicy mayo.
-Big's Catch of the Day: Beer-battered and fried cod fingers served with a side of tartar sauce.
-The Egg-Slayer Smasher: A massive, double-patty burger loaded with melty cheese, crispy bacon, fried onion straws, pickles, garlic aioli, and topped off with a perfectly fried egg.
For sides, there's.....
-Gold Rings: Beer-battered onion rings.
-Tail's Tornado Twin Fries: Thick, hand-cut potato fries split down the middle, coated in a special seasoning, and served with a cheesy dipping sauce.
-Shadow's Chaos Spear Mozzarella: Thick sticks of red mozzarella coated in breadcrumbs, fried, and served with a spicy mariana sauce.
-Chaotix Clump: A mixture of fries and tots, topped with a choice of ground beef or fried chicken pieces, melted cheese, diced red onions, jalapeno peppers, and ranch.
For desserts, there's....
-Amy's Strawberry Shortcake Sundae: A sundae made with vanilla ice cream and topped with strawberry syrup, strawberries, shortcake pieces, and whipped cream.
-Rouge's Choco-Cherry Blast: A Blast made with vanilla ice cream, cherries, fudge brownie bits, and hot fudge.
-Tom's Glazed Rings: Mini glazed donuts.
-Agent Stone's Espresso Master Shake: A Master Shake made with vanilla ice cream, milk, espresso, and a choice of caramel or chocolate flavoring, topped with whipped cream, a cherry, and chocolate shavings.
And lastly, for the drinks and slushies.....
-The Blue Blur Blast: A blue raspberry slush filled with blueberries and gold lemon-flavored gummy rings.
-Tropical Tornado Twist: A mango, orange and pineapple-flavored slush.
-Master Emerald Power: A fruit punch slush filled with green strawberry-flavored Master Emerald-shaped gummies.
-Piko Piko Pink: A pink lemonade-flavored slush filled with strawberries.
-Robotnik Rush: A layered slush made with cherry and lemonade slush, filled with light-green lime-flavored egg-shaped gummies.
-Cream and Cheese Friendship: A layered slush made with peach and blue raspberry lemonade slush.
-The Ultimate Lifeform: A layered slush made with blackberry and cherry slush, filled with multi-colored fruit-flavored Chaos Emerald-shaped gummies.
-Team Chaotix: A layered slush made with green apple, grape and orange slushie.
-Emerald Pops: Popsicles shaped like Chaos Emeralds. Come in the following flavors: pineapple, cherry, lemon, blue coconut, blue raspberry, lime and grape.
