The baby duck is doing very well! It loves being held so much and loves my hair. I guess I’m glad I didn’t chop it off yet. Baby ducks can hide in it lol

A few months ago we made the decision to move the ducks over to the side lot next to my yard. It was getting harder and harder to convince them that they needed to be in the coop at night. I won't try to explain to you the absolute joy of chasing a duck through a dark wet yard whilst simultaneously cussing out said duck. You'll just have to use your imagination. Now they are protected by electric bird net fencing and this is what they do all day. They are calm, quiet and peaceful. I think they like it. Our two youngest ducklings, a Khaki Campbell and a Pekin. They love the attention they’ve received from me doting over them. They hatched within a day of each other and are currently the only occupants in the “just hatched” brooder.
