I was good friends with Jade in my Kanaya timeline

the memories I’ve had in my dreams are definitely memories

That’s all I can recall for now! I mostly ask these since I’m an uncertain bean who can barely trust their current day memory lmao. Recording these answers and seeing if the answers ever vary will be helpful too.

aa so mem anon here (oh gosh it's been so long haha) so first of all, how're you doing? I hope you're doing okay and things are okay ^^ and uh, for my uh main point here, when you get a memory but you're sometimes unsure (and sometimes for the most part SURE it was a memory) and you use ask a 2 diff pendulums and they give you different answers, do you just use your gut feeling? I know you shouldn't take a pendulum as the Concrete answer since it's more like a guiding kind of thing so yeah

Hey, long time no see! I’ve been doing fine, haven’t been on Tumblr much but I’m doing well!! 

As for your question- I’d say it’s best to trust your gut, maybe try to pursue the memory later with a memory walk. If you’ve seen it there before, do it again but make sure to focus on it so you can find what’s consistent. Pendulums have various factors that affect their accuracy- whether they work well with you, or their user; whether the question was phrased in a way that would provide a clear answer, things like that. Especially when asking about possible memories- you can get conflicting or confusing responses if the memory isn’t 100% accurate. 

For example, I’ve recalled details from two different memories, but they rushed at me so strongly they mushed together into one big fake-memory that almost didn’t make sense. I had asked my own pendulum if it was a memory, and since it gave me an uncertain answer I had to break it down into clarifier questions. For example, saying ‘was that a memory of that person I saw?’ Or ‘was x event happening a memory?’ ‘Was this from different points in time?’ Etc.

If you yourself have a pendulum, or someone you’re comfortable asking a series of questions like that, then I’d recommend approaching it like that in the future. If not, using your gut and any other details you have or acquire is probably your best bet. Pendulums help for exploring possibilities and reassuring you of an answer, but if they can’t give you a clear response then it’s best to trust your gut. I hope this helps!!

oh yeah so I did another reading session with my pendulum, Jade! Got a lot of answers for this one!! (a LOT of answers, so it’s long, readmore under the cut!

I reconfirmed my eridan Captor timeline, since I haven’t had any kinfeels or memories for it.

I also have some new kintypes I’m questioning/going to confirm? I’m a bloodswap Karkat (didn’t ask which since I’d been wearing out by then) and Jade Lalonde (pretty strong kinfeels for her.) I might also have a Beforan bloodswap timeline.

and now on for memories and kinfeels I confirmed!!

I had a memory session for my Kanaya tl - basically recalled finding my lusus dead (similar to canon), and how I Godtiered (To Put It Simply, It Was Not Fun And People Died For-Good). So I confirmed and sorted the facts out on the godtiering.

My Meenah timeline - I was definitely troll, was Matesprits with Aranea and I had scars on my face from a fight with Damara (might’ve been the one like in canon)

Eridan Leijon timeline - I did like fishing though I didn’t swim, I had an Aradia Zahhak in my timeline (along with an Equius Megido) - Aradia and I had been matesprits before she broke up with me. She was the one who gave me the pendant. My otter dad did die violently, and was killed by another troll - I don’t know who. I was still a Prince of Hope?

Eridan Captor timeline - I had bitone glasses, normal troll eyes, and powers that were not psiionic. I still experienced headaches though. There was possibly a Sollux Ampora and a Karkat Maryam in this timeline.

Humanstuck Nepeta timeline - I named my second cat, an orange kitten, Karkat, after someone else. Not sure if friend, coworker or other.

Johnny Crocker timeline - I did go crockertier, I was a knight of life, and I used a spoon presumably as a weapon. (I also asked if I shared a tl w someone I know and got a yes, which would be the second confirmation on the matter.)

other things:

I am not Jade Harley kin (but I think I was getting my Jade lalonde feels confused)

I also asked if I had my understanding of kin correct, and if my brain was translating or processing anything weird - Jade gave me a strong no, which made me feel better.

And that was most of it for tonight!!

On another note, I would like to write more about the dreams I’ve had lately, as well as the one (1) non hskin experience I had once a while ago, but that’ll have to wait for the weekend like everything else I keep putting off.

Talking of my pendulum, I needed to rename them! 

I’ve had them so long, and have been so inexperienced with them in the past, I don’t know that I ever actually confirmed their name? So we’ve made the switch from Gemini to Jade for the time being, since they seemed to like the new name better when I asked about it. They still are fine with they/them pronouns, though, so at least I was on the mark there!

So since I wanted to pull out Gemini Jade to give a reading for a friend, I went ahead and gave myself some quick confirmation readings tonight.

First of all, I asked Gemini Jade if vague questions, such as ‘am I a bloodswap’ or ‘am I one of the beta kids’ were too vague - Gemini Jade confirmed that questions like that were too vague to give a good answer. Good to know!! 

tbh, I already knew/figured vague questions weren’t helpful for solid answers, this is something my mom taught me ages ago - but I wanted to know if I could possibly ask vague questions to narrow the field down. I guess not, but that’s not a big deal.

I gave the initial reading for my friend, and then went on to confirm things I asked in last session, such as!

my being kin with John Egbert - got a strong positive again for that one! This made me pretty happy.

I asked about Karkat Vantas - got more of a maybe on that one. I may need to ask about Karkat swaps, though it’s possible I’m not Karkat. 

I also decided to ask about Eridan Captor, got more of a ‘no’ on that one. I’m not too worried about that one.

I’m also wondering how accurate Gemini Jade’s readings are if the kin maybe hasn’t been fully realized or considered. For example, I connect and think a lot about John, and as a fellow Breath player, I feel a pretty strong connection there. I’ve questioned if I’m kin with him before. In Karkat’s case, I think about him a lot and relate to him on a certain level - but my feelings towards him might be affected by my strong leftover emotions from Dave. In the case of Eridan C, I’d never even considered any of the bloodswaps prior to tonight, so I haven’t really had time to think or process the idea. 

That said, I don’t doubt Gemini Jade’s reading either. I may just ask for a confirmation at a later date, perhaps much later, and if I still get a no then no big deal. I feel like asking once in a session, and revisiting for confirmation later is what works best for my kin questions for the time being.

So today I asked Gemini Jade about other characters I’ve entertained the possibility of being kin with - some just to cover bases, others bc I seem to have strong feelings towards them.

I’m NOT kin with:

 Eridan Ampora

Nepeta or Meulin Leijon

Mituna Captor

Dirk Strider

I got weird answers for whether I was kin with:

bloodswaps, leijons, captors (I think these were too vague for Gemini Jade to give good responses to lmao) 

Sollux - there was a brief diagonal/yes swing for him ( I had closed my eyes when asking, so I only briefly caught the answer - closing my eyes helps me focus lol), but when I pursued it further I got stoic or more negative responses. Gemini Jade can be a bit moody when I repeat questions in one session, so I’m not sure if it was because of that or if I maybe gave mixed signals/muddled thoughts.

I got positive answers for:

John! - I was surprised and reworded as ‘John Egbert’, and got a stoic response, but again Gemini Jade gets moody about repeat questions so I didn’t worry about it. It wasn’t a direct negative, and when I returned to just ‘John’ I got more positive swings. (I suppose it COULD be a kid/bloodswap, but I was thinking strongly of the windy boi himself so I doubt it.  )

Karkat - another one I was surprised by! I’d asked about this one after John and Sollux, so I decided to refrain from pushing it - I’d been asking Gemini Jade a lot today as it was lmao. I got a pretty positive swing though.

I’m thinking I may revisit some of these at a later date (Sollux, John, Karkat, I’m lookin at you), given how much I bombarded Gemini Jade with questions.

(tbh I think too that I sometimes switch gears too quickly for Gemini Jade, and don’t give them a chance to switch with me- so I may try more well-thought out, patient questions. But I struggle with my posture when I give myself readings, so it makes me antsy. Just something I have to work on.)
