My Grandpa was an actor. Not like an actor that would get me nepo baby credibility or anything. He just played minor villains and died a lot on Spanish TV shows in the 70s.

A quick spark notes intro on my 4 Ring of Heroes portal masters NOT from the game

extremely important: These four kiddos are fan made. Theyre portal masters kiddos for the elements that never got portal masters before Ring of Heroes the mobile game shut down. So these are all characters I made for my specific lore and story, and they do know the main group of 6 (Eugenie, George, Ryeo, Adriana, Oscar, Bruno)

Iliana Wright: Bringer of First Dawn: Light element Portal Master

Sunshine in human form; loud, bright, emotional, and impossible to ignore

Runs on enthusiasm and impulse; thinks with her heart first, always

Wants everyone to get along and believes she can fix everything with optimism

The golden retriever friend who will cry, laugh, and fight for you in the same minute

Was best friends with Adriana growing up, reunited with her on Earth, and eventually become a Portal Master alongside her in Skylands

Is a dancer on a step team and was the captain of her high schools majorette team. Knows very effective physical therapy exercises

Main weapon is a quarterstaff with an astrolabe on the top

Julian Ortíz: Umbral Wayfarer: Dark element Portal Master

Quiet, artistic, introspective; communicates mostly through looks and sighs

Feels deeply but rarely shows it; the group’s emotional pressure valve

Has a dry, understated sense of humor that hits harder than he intends

The tired kid from a large family who is always drawing, observing, or judging silently

Is Hispanic and his heritage is extremely important to him. Knows fluent Spanish

Finds most comfort in Splat and frequently paints with her

Has the energy of someone looking out into the distance at people, tired as hell, drinking a cup of coffee

Main weapon is a baton infused with the magic of an eclipse

Lucy Miller: Rewriter of Spells: Magic element Portal Master

Explosive academic energy; smart, chaotic, and constantly overconfident. Has an even bigger ego than Bruno and Flynn combined which no one thought was possible

Treats magic like a science experiment she will win, even if it kills her

Loud, dramatic, and unafraid to argue with anyone, including the universe

The girlboss wizard who studies too hard and still blows things up

Has the most chaotic and unstable magic and portals out of all 10, and the most pressure on her as Magic is the most important element in Skylands

She and Eugenie lowkey hate each other at first. Two intelligent gifted kids and Lucy has the worst emotional intelligence known to man

Knows seven languages (English, Latin, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, ASL, and Korean) and currently teaching herself French. Her hyperfixation is linguistics

Main weapon is a crystalline quill pen that casts spells when she writes with it

Nico Brunner: Grave-Hushed Listener: Undead element Portal Master

Soft, anxious, gentle; permanently convinced he’s in danger even when he isn’t

Has ghost‑themed magic that’s way stronger than he thinks it is

Surprisingly insightful; notices things others miss because he’s always worried

The scared little puppy who becomes terrifyingly powerful when cornered

Always has ghosts talking in his brain. The Undead Skylanders help him calm them down to recognize which thoughts are his and which are the ghosts

Transmasc and deeply body dysphoric. Only ever wears large clothing

Has a stutter that everyone is gentle around

Some amount of German

Main weapon is a crystal blue scythe that channels spirits to his aid

Something I realized, both you and husbun's main form of combat (if you were to enter combat) typically involves kicking. Just thought that was a funny coincidence :3

Oh yes, that is true actually and we have both remarked on that before! If not quite for kicking prowess it was still mutual admiration of each other's shared skills that first brought us together… we are also both artists, you see!

Not looking forward to the Elden Ring movie AT ALL. Said as someone who is burnt on the community after seeing all the blatant mischaracterization.

Gave my uncle a copy of Assassin’s Apprentice for his birthday. He told me it was the best book he’s read in years. I was looking forward to talking about it with him and sharing the other books with him. Next time I see him he’s read the rest of Farseer and NOT SAID A WORD ABOUT IT TO ME. His brother-in-law has been reading them too and bought him the books. Months later my cousin has also read farseer and ALSO NOT SAID ANYTHING TO ME.

They have no idea how much of a bonding opportunity they’ve missed out on with me. I am so salty (and honestly kind of hurt). If they had any idea how much time I spend sobbing over these books!!! How can anyone read them and not immediately want to yell about them to anyone who will listen??

Honestly it’s like they’ve read some personal lore about me and decided not to talk about it. I’m so mad. Put me aboard Paragon and let him drown me.
