Maybe he has become obsessed with the multiverse. Since he came back from Peter 1′s world, Peter keeps trying to find other universes and other versions of himself. He has even built a multiverse capsule. This way, he can see Peter 1 and Peter 2, but the truth is also that he wants to know if Gwen at least survives somewhere. He MISSES her so damn much. Of course, another Gwen would never replace the one he loved and lost. But it would make him feel somehow relieved, to know that she’s alive, somewhere. He’ll look for this universe until he finds her.

He’s swinging around this version of New York City that looks quite similar to his when his spider-senses made him quickly stopped: someone is following him. And it’s a Spider-Person. “Sorry. Can’t say I’m very subtle about my presence here. I can help you for anything while I’m here, really.” He assures, letting an awkward chuckle escape his mouth. He’s so bad at talking; it’s TERRIBLE.

Peter scratches his neck before he shakes his head. There’s so much he’s not telling her, so much he’s not telling anyone. His life has always been COMPLICATED. People don’t need to know about all of it, especially not about his past mistakes. It’s his burden, and his burden alone. Of course, it changed him forever. It has also made him push the others away in some ways. He just can’t keep people close to him. There’s May, of course, but for her, it’s different. She was there before.

“What do you want to know ?” He asks with shrug. Peter doesn’t feel like arguing. On the other hand, he truly wonders what Kitty is thinking right now. It’s not like he’s purposedly hiding anything.

Of course, because it was in their nature to always want to help and protect other people. That being said, Peter still wished the other would have listened because he was clearly not in a good state to fight. He was injured, quite badly, and Peter knew he could handle the situation.

“Yeah, yeah, but you’re clearly not doing well right now.” He said with a sigh as he looked at the other. “Peter... People die easily. Just... Just be careful.” He had just found those two guys he considered as BROTHERS; he refused to let something happen to one of them.

"MJ, ar you busy right now ?” Peter asks before he scratches his neck. He knows he doesn’t deserve this friendship at all. She’s so good to him, much better than whatever he could ever give her. He also disappears without warning her, and he sometimes has the worse excuses because he refuses to tell her he’s Spider-Man. He just can’t share this BURDEN with anyone else. Gwen lost everything because she knew. He’ll never forgive himself for that.

He smiles awkwardly. “Maybe we could do something ? But really, just if you want to. It’s okay if you have better things to do.” He’ll understand. Mary Jane deserves much better than a friend who keeps disappearing.

Peter sighs. Of course, he knows Doctor Octavius wouldn’t listen to his warning. That’s why things are getting messy right now. But hopefully, he will stop him in time, will manage to heal him the way they did it in Peter 1′s world. He prepared the antidote already; he just needs to find a way to SURPRISE him with it. 

But right now, Florence is in his way, and it’s not as he can tell him who he truly is. He just sighs. “Listen... your father is very dangerous right now. His arms are controlling him.” He explains, doing his best to stay calm. “I know how to bring him back to himself, though. So let me go.”

Peter chuckles awkwardly at that statement. He’s not used to this -- not anymore. He feels so LONELY, and he spends much more time as Spider-Man than as Peter Parker. But Florence is great. He enjoys speaking with her about anything. Maybe he’s a bit less consumed by his loneliness since they met. But he knows they can’t be too close because being Spider-Man is dangerous, for everyone around. May is the only exception.

“Thanks. I enjoy having you around, too. It feels nice.” He admits, keeping a soft smile on his features.
