    So ended up enjoying LND a lot more than I thought I would! It definitely still has its weird plot problems and character butchering (which I may rant about at a later point), but the show itself wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting. Never thought I’d be making serious LND fanart (let alone tying Into the Woods with it), but here we are. Except I drew Erik actually looking his age, because while Ben Lewis’ performance was great, there’s no way he could be looking that young “TEN LONG YEARS” later

The fact that Dan, who's practically a nihilist, believes in true love (as he's said before on livestreams), means someone made him believe in it. I happen to think that was Phil, but you might not.

Dan doesn't believe in things that require faith, things that are unprovable. Souls, fate, afterlife, etc are all things he doesn't believe in as a person of logical philosophy. He trusts in things he can see and things that can be known undoubtedly... so someone showed him love that he trusts beyond a doubt.
