shout out to unemployed phys disabled teenagers who personally don’t have the money to buy a necessary mobility aid but their parents (who do have the money) refuse to buy it for them

i wanna see more fanfics where the reader is disabled
gimme a fic that mentions the reader using a mobility aid, managing chronic pain, hearing their joints do the snap crackle pop ever so often and the characters daily routines having those things integrated, show me my f/o assisting me with tasks i struggle with as a disabled person
yes, in fantasy worlds especially
i wanna read about a wizard calming my anxiety and distracting me from the pain to help me relax with his magic
i wanna read about my adventure friends finding the easiest way to travel with a disabled person
sounds like fun
ATTENTION DISABLED FOLK!!
I am writing an essay, of my own free will, about the trope of a "lazy" team mate in group projects, and why I think that caricature isn't really an honest portrayal and disproportionately mischaracterizes disabled people. I'm autistic and have subconscious social anxiety so I can speak on those issues, but I can't speak on other mental disabilities nor can I speak on any effects, if any, that physically disabled people may have when trying to work in group settings.
So I wanna hear from you guys! Comments, reblogs, asks, or private messages are appreciated. What disability do you have, is it mental or physical, and how might it impair your ability to work in a group?
Anyone can respond, but it would be appreciated to hear from people who have been in any type of in person school where group projects were a thing.
If it wasn't already clear, I do not believe disabled people of any sort are "lazy" if they can't do group work or cannot do it well. I'm writing this essay because I'm one of them, and I want to stand up for the real people who get mislabeled as just lazy. The most conceding I will do is saying "yes, maybe sometimes the person really is fully abled and understands and just doesn't care, and in that case they would be lazy, but the genuinely lazy member is rare compared to the people who actually just can't." I'll probably post the essay when I'm finished. It's like 10 pages long so far. I'm really proud of it.
