sometimes you have to pull a reverse all-nighter to fix ur fucked sleeping schdeule. get ur ass to bed at 6:30pm the second u feel even a little bit tired. sleep for 13 hours straight king. wake up feeling weird #reverseallnighter

#keeps up thr balance bc the usual go-to is to have an allnighter about fucked up sleeping schedule #u could also. be a normal person and just go to sleep at like normal early hours #but idk. that never works for me #so go to bed at ridiculously early time and there is just no way u’re gonna sleep past 7am #physically impossible #and when u have like 13h sleeping window: boy u can fit so many ’’cant get sleep’’ hours in there and still get a good night of sleep #as in I woke up again at 10pm and couldnt get more sleep before like 1-2am but it worked out #(yes i lied abt sleeping for 13h straight today. but sometimes that does happen)#my posts here

Tom vs. Albus Duel at the Ministry: PART 1 - Fighting Styles

OotP’s final duel between Dumbledore and Tom sets the standard for what two powerhouse characters are capable of when set against one another. We are not only treated to a spectacle of high-powered magic but also the awe of knowing anything and everything is possible between the two of them.

In seeing these two duel, we’re able to take note of their style and preferences. Dumbledore is more of a defensive fighter, preferring not to try to kill Tom but, presumably, to nullify him in some way. His attacks center more on natural elements (e.g., the fire whip or encasing Tom in water). This shows how Dumbledore is more grounded and connected with the natural world than Tom is. We also see him being more resourceful in his use of the statues as his helpers and protectors than Tom, who chooses to fight alone.

Tom takes the offensive, preferring to stay on the attack whenever possible. He manages to cast a handful of Killing Curses at Dumbledore and Harry (each blocked by statues or Fawkes), but continues to try to wear down his opponents’ defenses, hoping to catch a slip in their armor. He’s also incredibly resourceful: When Dumbledore tries to wrap him in a fiery, whiplike attack, Tom transforms the whip into a snake to strike Dumbledore at the most opportune moment. He makes a few defensive maneuvers, switching his position around the battlefield to gain advantage and also summoning forth a silver shield that produces a chilling gonglike note when hit. This shows Tom is entirely aware of the threat of Dumbledore and that he must make sure to guard himself as much as possible while still attempting to dispatch him.
