Finally got to experience Hadestown with the pro shoot. I’d heard a few songs from the soundtrack and I liked them and I’ve been obsessed with Greek Mythology since before I ever picked up a Percy Jackson book so I knew I’d love the show, but I held off on listening to the soundtrack because I knew I needed to watch the show itself to truly appreciate the music. I do that with musicals because the story surrounding the music is just as important as the songs themselves. I absolutely adore the show and the hype surrounding it is well deserved and I can’t wait to listen to the soundtrack (I actually started listening to it again on my drive home from the theater) now having all the important context.

As I watched I not only fell in love with Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone’s love stories but the music and their relationships invoked all my favorite ships across media showing how timeless these love stories truly are (seriously I need to see more ship edits to Hadestown songs besides Wait For Me). Also the commentary on capitalism and politics was perfection and still as applicable today as when it was written.

I knew it would but Hadestown has shot up to one of my favorite musicals easily. The one thing I don’t like is I’d almost certainly never be able to be a lead in the show. I have the range for Orpheus but not the look, I could have the look for Hades but not the range, and I’ve got a little soul but not enough soul for Hermes. It’s incredibly frustrating but it’s my cross to bear (and there are far worse crosses). Now I just have to hope the pro shoot gets put on streaming so I can watch it again.

So with the release of “Dancing with the Enemy” for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, we have a group of teenagers in bright color coordinated outfits led by a person in red, fighting a horde of faceless henchmen sent by an eccentric villain bent of domination, and one teen using a bunch of unnecessary backflips to fight said horde…so Descendants has officially become the Power Rangers.

Crazy theory for Legend of Vox Machina season 5.

(Spoilers for the final 3 episodes of Season 4 as well as some Lore, you’ve been warned)

So in The Whispered One’s spiel to Pike he mentioned that his partner/lover was lost because of the Matron of Ravens and he continued the work until he was stopped.

While all the Prime Deities are concerned about the Whispered One’s return the Matron is taking a special interest.

In Critical Role Lore the Matron was a mortal mage who achieved godhood and took the place of the previous god of death.

The show does seem to be playing a little bit more with their lore for the show though.

So my theory is this, The Whispered One’s partner wasn’t taken by the Matron of Ravens, she is the Matron of Ravens and their experiments helped her achieve godhood.

If this is the case this entire struggle can be summed up as custody fight between exes.

You know there’s an alternate universe where Carl goes into the Dungeon with Donut and Ferdinand aka Gravy Boat and eventually gets 2 shoulder mounted Cat Missile Launchers.

Need some help. I’m currently noodling with a Dungeon Crawler Carl fanfic and my plan is to eventually get my some of my characters to choose some Earth original classes at level 3.

This would give them Earth Hobby Potions and I’m absolutely drawing a blank on what cool or interesting hobbies they could get.

Any suggestions and ideas would be super appreciated.

SkyMed season 4 really tried to sell Hayley and Weezer’s romance and Crystal’s latest seasonal love interest, but still the greatest love story in that show is between Crystal and Hayley.

I mean the season finale had them saying they were happy they were with each other if they were about to die together, and ends the season with them saying “I love you” to each other (in a totally “platonic” way) and then showed a montage of all their moments together as romantic duet plays on acoustic guitar. Come on! Whomever edited this show isn’t convinced that Hayley and Crystal aren’t the couple we should be rooting for.

Singer: Hughie I want you to run the Department of Superhuman Affairs.

Hughie: Uh…wouldn’t MM be a better choice.

Singer: Yeah, you’re my second call.

Hughie: He said ‘no?’

Singer: Technically he didn’t say anything. I made him the offer and he just started laughing and then hung up the phone.

Hughie: Yeah that checks out.

Headcanon that Jason is in Elysium and wants to try to reincarnation to try to get to the Isle of the Blessed, but decides to wait because he believes Percy and Annabeth will bully Hades into letting his spirit attend their wedding. He’s right and is with his friends on that day. Afterwards he decides to reincarnate.

Later when Percy and Annabeth are playing with their child they can almost swear they’ve heard that laugh before.

I thought Annie’s dad sounded familiar. It’s Tim freaking Daly aka one of the best voice actors of Superman!

Season two of the revival (season 11?) better have Jack and Jennifer Dylan show up for an episode or two. Like they’re probably both in college right now (although I do headcanon Jack is following in his late uncle’s footsteps and just traveling around the globe) and it would be tough for them to drop everything at a moments notice and come home since Dr. Cox is sick but not imminently dying and he’s probably downplaying how bad it really is. That said I need to know what they’re up to.

Also we need a follow up on Sam.

Like I get not putting the kids in during the first season of the revival as we need to reestablish where are main characters are at and their new dynamic with the new status quo and establish the new characters and how they fit in to the show. So bringing in the kids would be too much too soon, but now it’s been established we need to see them.

Also I’m really curious to see how this love triangle (maybe rectangle?) with the interns is gonna shake out.

All in all, I really liked the revival and hope we get another season. Hopefully with more episodes.

Crazy prediction for much later in the series.

When Alex steps down or gets promoted or moves on or whatever, she and Joyce will need to pick a replacement supervising nurse. After going through several options and none of them really panning out well they come to the perfect replacement: Matt.

Matt’s kind, caring, and goes above and beyond for his patients and coworkers. He’s got good relationships with doctors and administrators, but we see him willing to stand up to them as well. Over the course of season 2 we’ve even seen him gain confidence and become a much better nurse. And most importantly he’d happily take on the extra responsibility with the not much extra pay bump.

This is still a long way off, Matt has a long way to go before he can be handed the proverbial reins. But in the future it’d be a good full circle moment for his character going from the new incompetent nurse in the pilot to the supervising nurse running the show.

Also it’d be hilarious if and when it happens to see Matt having to deal with being Serena’s boss and her boyfriend or husband 🤞and how he balances that.

Just a random thought.

Since they already introduced Thula in the show, what if it’s Nolan’s Mom who’s waiting at Viltrum for the Coalition forces?

Nolan’s Mom kinda looks like comic Thula and I think it’d be cool to see Nolan have a rematch against his mom and maybe even Mark fight his grandmother.
