For @butchthalia and for @pjosapphicweeks Day 2: Domestic
Annabeth loves swiping her thumb back and forth on Piper’s jaw. There’s something comforting about being able to touch Piper and remember that they both survived.
Piper has a written list titled “Cute Faces Of Annabeth Chase.” Annabeth accidentally finds it one day and finds weird abbreviations she can’t understand.
She tries to confront Piper about it, and Piper just lets out a long “Aww,” takes the paper and adds a few more abbreviations to it.
At their wedding, Piper pulls out the list and starts explaining every single abbreviation, adding a vow to each and every one.
Piper takes a special joy in curling Annabeth’s hair properly every morning, and Annabeth takes hundreds of selfies every single day for Piper.
Annabeth helps Piper feel more connected to her culture by casually leaving sticky notes everywhere with information. It means a lot to Piper that Annabeth takes the time out of her day to do that.
Piper absolutely refuses to let Annabeth go shopping on her own, whether clothes or groceries. At first, Annabeth thinks it’s because Piper’s afraid she’ll impulsively buy things, but then she realizes that it’s something Piper wants to do together.
Annabeth is really, really bad at cleaning up her things. Whenever Piper tries to move things without her permission, Annabeth’s argument is always that she “has a system.”
She actually doesn’t. The moment Piper walks out of the room, Annabeth goes back to searching for the billionth time.
Annabeth is also a massive hoarder. She can’t bear to let anything be thrown away.
Piper hoards things for a while, and then after a while claims they have “no sentimental value.”
Annabeth jokes that Piper should throw out their wedding dresses in that case, and Piper gasps dramatically every time she sees Annabeth for a month after.
It drives Piper crazy that Annabeth can never remember where she puts things, and Piper threatens to put a body cam on her. Permanently.
Annabeth rolls her eyes at Piper and claims that Piper wouldn’t even be able to put the cam on her without jumping her bones.
Piper sniffs indignantly and refuses such accusations, but also never actually buys a body cam because she knows Annabeth was right.
Whenever Annabeth is upset, Piper just sits quietly with her and offers her comfort with small physical touches, like holding her hand or leaning her back against her.
Whenever one of them buys a new shirt, two months after the other starts wearing it instead.
