I've never felt romance in real life. Never ever, in my 20 years of life. That being said, I still like romance in stories. I think it's because I view romance as an extension of platonics. Love is just...well, love. I don't see romantic love as different from platonic love. If a romantic storyline leads to a happy ending for the characters, then i'm happy. If a platonic relationship leads there, i'm also happy. If a character ends a story happy alone...well, i'm scared of being alone in real life, so i'd have minor issues there. But i think i'd be okay. I don't know. But I love happy endings. And I love seeing relationships between characters (whether they be platonic or romantic).
That's something I liked about Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you know? (I like it with Fates and Awakening too, but I never bought or completed those games). The Support Conversations. I love seeing characters build relationships. They always make it look so easy. And as someone who has no friends in real life beyond my dad, seeing characters happy makes me happy. It makes me very happy, honestly. I wish the games were more inclusive of non-heterosexual relationships, but there's apparently mods for that with Awakening and Fates. I don't know how that works, because I only use the games as I have them on my 3DS. But I digress. In any case, i just like seeing characters bond. And I love happy endings.
PS: If someone was willing to mod older fire emblem games to give them more support conversations, i'd support that too. Because, again, I am a sucker for relationships and happy endings and all around sweet things. It makes me feel better when it's done really well.
for platonic thing Will and Cecily maybe
Will used to be the best older brother when he was younger because Ella had always been very kind and so thats how he was to Cecily
And when he left Cecily broke and didn't know what to do because suddenly everything was falling apart she went from being the youngest of three to the only one left
When Cecily came back she expected Will to come back willingly and when he didn't she put on a brave face but was absolutely crushed because why wasn't she good enough
She decided she needed to prove herself and decided to join the war which Will told her repeatedly not to do but that just offended her as she felt that Will didn't believe in her
When the war was over and everything had settled down she was there for her brother who had lost more than just his parbatai
They often talked about losing people like Ella, Jem, Jessamine but it was an unspoken rule to never mention how Cecily had lost him
They weren't the kind to say "I love you" as they showed it through actions more such as Will protecting Cecily fiercely even though she can stand her own as well as Cecily giving Will books that remind her of them
They were both INCREDIBLY excited to be uncles/aunts
Will used to play with Anna quite frequently as he thought it would be the only chance he would have to be an adult figure to one
Cecily cried when Will told her they were expecting and through her tears she kept asking things along the lines of wHt does Tessa need and you know to such and such until the baby's born right??
Cecily is fiercely protective of James and Lucie and Will is the same way toward Anna, Christopher, and Alexander
//hell, enemies having to ban together and getting the battle couple/buddies vibe bc they've been fighting each other for so long that they just know how to work together
i can’t wait for the day when 1) the phrase “just friends” dies and 2) platonic relationships are seen as equal to romantic relationships and not lesser than
OOC.
Okay, I tried doing Matt for once and I don't even know how I did, but let’s hope it was a decent impression.

Halesta was surprised tosee Sera, of all people, leaning against the wall outside of the War Room. “Ay, Ladybi’s!” The archer smiled, looking instantly less bored.
“Hey, what’re you doing outhere?” Halie loved Sera, but the Rouge’s proximity to the “serious-thin’s” ofthe Inquisition was a bit unnerving.
“I though’ we’d get a drinkan’ hang ou’ a bit?” The lanky blonde elf shifted her weight awkwardly fromfoot to foot as she stared at the floor.
We haven’t spent any time together in a long while….
“Yeah, let’s do it,”Halesta grinned, excited; she hadn’t ever considered that Sera might want to spend time with her.
“Really?” “Yes, really!” Halie hooked her armaround her friend’s, leading them down the hallway and away from the War Room,“What’s been up?”
“Nothin’ much, I jus’…”Sera flushed a bit, to Halie’s disbelief and utter delight, “I maybe, sor’amiss you—s’all.”
“Why didn’t you saysomething earlier? I could’ve used saving from all this seriousness a long timeago!”
“I din’ wanna be abother—Quizzy bus’ness first, an’ all,” The taller elf ducked her head again, sheepishly.
“Pfft,” Halesta threw herhead back dismissively, “To Void with that! Now, let’s talk pranks. I think Ihave a one-up on lizard’s in Solas’s bedroll.”“Yeah?” Sera raised her brows in surprise.
“Definitely,” Halie sharedher friend’s wicked grin, sending them cackling as they walked down the stairs and heading towards the Herald’s Rest.
