Thought I'd draw the power couple for this week's SoTW!
Lloyd telling Javier to do something silly really seriously and Javier just complies on instinct before realizing he was tricked (pls, I love the implicit trust between these two)
LMAOOO I love the loyal guard dog Javier trope so much,,, he would do anything without hesitation for Lloyd 😋💥💕🌟✨
Legends Z-A Details 2.5: Nouveau Café Truck - Griselle Drink Descriptions
So I went back to the Nouveau Café Truck for some more pics and I noticed something when I was ordering drinks. If you order from the truck with Grisham & Griselle, Griselle will give you a brief description of each drink. Pretty much all of the other places, cafés & trucks alike, just say "Here you go! One [insert beverage here]." Griselle gives her opinion on each of them. She also gets irritated if you refuse to order anything.
Here's the descriptions, starting with the coffee menu:
If they're naming their roasts after the moves Charizard uses to make them, I'm surprised there'd be anything left to make coffee with after anything stronger than an Ember, but whatever. It's probably just used as a marketing technique
Here's the ones from the tea menu:
I think it's pretty obvious that these are meant to be parodies of chamomile, oolong, and rose/rosehip tea, but only the description for Roserade tea seems to match it's counterpart in our world.
Chamomile tea most certainly does not pack a punch. It's one of the mildest flavors out there, and it's usually used in Sleepytime or sleep aid blends due to it's relaxing properties. It's naturally caffeine free as well. Sweet aroma yes, and rich flavors as well if it's a blend and not pure chamomile. But not something that packs a punch, unless you mean a punch thrown to knock you out and send you to dreamland
Oolong tea is very refreshing, but I've never thought that it smelled like wet wool. Why would you even want to drink something like that anyways? I think the wet wool smell would make me gag. Not sure how to describe exactly what oolong does smell like, but it's definitely not wet wool. Refreshing is a good word for it I suppose. Always brings back good memories of the Chinese restaurant we used to go to on special occasions when I was a kid. We could never get it to taste the same when we made it at home though, even when we bought the same tea mix from them. Must have been something special in the way they brewed it
The Roserade Tea description seems pretty spot on. And it was a common option at the Pokémon Center Cafés in Gen 7
...Does anybody know if these names match what they're called in Japanese? Does anybody have a direct translation? I'm wondering if the mismatched descriptions aren't some kind of translation error or translation creative liberties. Kind of like how in Gen 7 Tapu Cocoa was originally Skitty cocoa, and Komala Coffee was originally Granbull coffee
Moving on, these are the last ones for the other miscellaneous drinks:
Can't tell if she was being sarcastic or not with that Sparkling Water description
The thing about the magnesium in the Fresh Water is intriguing though. Is that a thing in Real World France? Or in Paris specifically? It's an interesting little worldbuilding tidbit
How about 6?

Enid: I brought the Pink Puppy Chow!
Wednesday: And I the Poké bowls.
Bianca: *arches an eyebrow* Well, well, well, Addams. I didn’t think you had it in you to pun.
Wednesday: What pun?
Bianca: You decorated the bowls to look just like Poké Balls. It’s a nice touch.
Wednesday:
Wednesday: Ah. That. Thank you.
Bianca: *squints, then just shakes her head* So what’s in this? Tuna? Salmon?
Wednesday: It’s ma—
Enid: CARP! It’s just carp!
Wednesday/Enid: 😒🤫
Wednesday: Yes. Just as my girlfriend so helpfully stated, it is perfectly mundane, Water-type karp.
Bianca:
