First night of my life "out on the town" as an adult

Unapologetically laughed and joked with my friends no matter how loud

Left my open monster can in the Walmart and had to go back for it

Complimented every pretty girl (and some guys) I saw

Kissed my boyfriend in front of strangers

Smoked a cigarette (it was gross)

Had a good time

Did all this while trans, queer, disabled (visibly + with my cane), wearing my tail and collar, with my makeup down and my hair dyed bright red. In case anyone was worried it won't get better for them, I was there at rock bottom once, and all of my friends were too. I spent a long time with no friends. Suicidal and severely depressed. I want to tell you-- promise you-- that it gets better. If you end that now you won't ever get to experience that.

Watch my partners (married to each other irl) get into a disagreement.

One was incorrect factually, and the other was trying to explain, but the first had heard from multiple (also incorrect) sources that the opposite was true.

So instead of calling one another names or idk fucking fist fighting about it, they decided to research the topic together.

After discovering he was in the wrong, the first apologized for being stubborn and a little rude, and the second apologized for being pushy and acting like he knew more because he knew he was right.
