Thinking about it,Grover is the luckiest and unluckiest satyr of the whole serie when it cames to finding people.

He found Thalia,Luke and Annbeth. Thalia died before they could reach CHB,while Luke later on instigated a war.

He found Percy only to have Sally "dying" in front of them and getting attacked by the minotaur before getting to CHB.

He found Bianca and Nico and not even a week later after getting them safe Bianca died,while Nico disappeared for almost a year on them.

He found Pan,which was his biggest dream and achievement,and the god literally died a couple of minutes after.

At this point don't let Grover find you,we might never know what will happen after that .

Orpheus!Percy has a panic attack (on top of the trauma from essentially reliving his own death at the hands of the maneades — Thanks so much, Mr D) when he and Eurydice!Annabeth get their memories back in the underworld.

Annabeth is also having a bad case of flashbacks when they get to Asphodel (I feel like Eurydice would have ended up in Asphodel, but please correct me if I’m wrong (really, please the possibility of them being separated in death is heartbreaking)) but she’s been dealing with deja vu around the gods - and Hades especially for years so is able to push through it marginally better.

Percy insisted on learning to play the lyre (I don’t know how or where Sally got him a teacher, maybe she prayed to Poseidon for help with that), and carries his instrument in the underworld with a death-grip. He nearly uses it to bludgeon Grover when in his panic he mistakes the satyr for one of Dionysus’s followers.

No one is having a good time.

my absolute favorite thing is that they changed it so LUKE would have the most interactions with percy at camp

luke showed him around, luke explained how the camp and gods worked, luke told him about the pact of the big three.... in the books, most of that was taken up by annabeth, but i LOVE that they changed it to luke because it would've made the betrayal hurt 10x more!!!!

in the book, luke's betrayal didn't hurt that much cuz they didn't interact a lot when percy was still at camp. like, when he finally defected i felt more bad for annabeth than for percy, but in the show..... omg when luke defended him from clarisse and that scene where percy prays to his mom to tell her that he made a friend "who really liked him" and he was talking about LUKE 😭😭😭😭😭

oh yeah, the end of the season's gonna hurt a lot more cuz of that 🥺

Imagine Grover waking up the morning after Percy arrives to camp, and realizing he failed again. Grover waking up from a total stupor from being knocked out. The slow build of panic as last night’s events come back to him. The knowledge that someone has been lost under his watch, for a second time. He must have spent the whole day thinking of Thalia after he failed to save both Percy and his mom.
