Swatching Catrine de Mew and blue gradients for a reroot commission

Washed out/over contrasted because flash + white background.

Teal photographs grey under flash and nymph/mint ice (which is bluer than the closest colour: turquoise for some reason) photographs paler.

On a semi related note, anyone have tips for carpal tunnel pain? Do you block the wrist from moving with a splint or just keep it wrapped and warm? I can’t use anything too tight elastically as my circulation gets cut off easily and I swell up but I can redo bandages myself every few hours.

Also started on a new quilting project with a bunch of fabric a friend gave me when she was clearing out her garage! Nothing fancy, just lots of pretty blue fabrics all going in a grid. Very nice to work on a quilt where I'm not thinking about triangles

Got four more rows ready for my pretty blue quilt! Has me rethinking if I wanna add two more rows, so I think I'm actually gonna start sewing the rows together tomorrow.

Finished the latest row just in time tho, need to swap in a fresh spool tomorrow

Been trying to get the quilting stitches going on the pretty blues quilt, just a bit every night the last few days. I've got 6/130 squares quilted! This is going to be an ongoing project for a while I think.
