Pro Choice and Pro Life Activists Face Off - Melbourne, Australia - October 2012
"...a pregnant person should not be allowed to make a choice to kill her unborn child. Taking that child’s life violates his or her bodily autonomy."
-Cultureshift
The problem with this is that the "unborn child" is already violating the pregnant person's bodily rights and the pregnant person does have the right to remove the "unborn child" if so desired.
It's sort of like saying it's wrong to take back what someone stole from you if you don't have permission to take it back. Unless that person already had a right to that property or was given permission to take it, that property never belonged to them to begin with. The exact same thing applies to a fetus/embryo and a person's womb.
If your definition of "pro-life" includes the lives of the military-industrial complex and capital punishment
You might be a conservative.
Concerning the pro-life movement
ARE YOU SERIOUS? Do you honestly think that a woman would get an abortion if she didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary? NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE AN ABORTION. Her belief that abortion is necessary is just as strong as your belief that she shouldn't have one. WHY ARE YOU RIGHT? Regarding the conclusion that who is "right" cannot be determined, I'd say that the decision should be left up to THE PERSON WHO IT ACTUALLY AFFECTS.
