How could MHA be if Horikoshi had chosen the prototype version of Bakugou?

Assuming that all of the events of MHA, aka the order of the arcs, are all the same and the characters in them don't change, then the story of Mha would play out differently.

Bakugo, in this case, would be the supportive character similar to a mixture of mirio and mom's characters. This would ultimately mean that izuku's physical bullying is a lot less since bakugo was the primary antagonist, thirteen wouldn't get hurt trying to keep kiri and katsuki safe, bakugo wouldn't beat up todoroki during the Sports festival and would probably be a lot more successful in general when it comes to the Hero course.

However, bakugo would still need challenges to face as a character. Here, one can have creative liberty to make challenges for him, whether that be his ignorance to society and how people suffer or stick somewhat original to his character, have him be labelled as a prodigy just to be in a place where everyone is similar or better than him causing him to spiral.

Due to his changed attitude, these challenges would affect him and the plot differently.

I'm still unsure how to write Katsuki, so I'm asking for a little more help. What led you to write Katsuki this way in your rewrite? I'm thinking of blending characteristics from the canon and the prototype version of him into my version, like making him a more complex and interesting character. What do you think?

The reason I wrote Katsuki the way I did is mostly because of my personal preferences for characters. I'm a fan of more grounded than what the original story has so I toned down a lot of what makes Katsuki so iconic. I also like characters that I can connect to and have complex motivations so I gave him the gifted kid inferiority complex to motivate him and express my own experiences.

I honestly love the idea of mixing prototype Katsuki with his canon version. is a lot that you could do with that and I feel like it would make him a very fun character no matter what direction you go. There are three routes I thought of that you could go with that I really like:

You could have there be a transition where you start at somewhere close to canon and end up at a version of Katsuki that's closer to his prototype. This would be a great character arc and while you would probably have to make him a bit more cheerful to sow seeds of who he would become it would be very interesting to see that transition.

It would be an interesting dichotomy to have Katsuki be cheerful and kind to everyone except Izuku. You'd have to go into why he'd have such deep resentment towards Izuku but I think that it could work. Having Katsuki have to overcome whatever caused that resentment would be pretty interesting to see play out.

This is the most canon divergent route but I think the closest to what the prototype was probably intending. Making Katsuki stick by Izuku's side throughout the bullying and likely become a pariah himself. That social ostracization would provide room for him to become a bit bitter and resentful like the canon Katsuki but still be way closer to his prototype.

Whether you go with one of my ideas or not I think mixing the two versions of Katsuki is very fun and I'd love to see where it goes.

we started working on the prototype AU not long ago and how everyone looks/works we call it world 0 AU

we kind of opposite everyone's personalities so Momo is mean, her normal weight is bigger but she wants to look "beautiful" so she's always seen as skinny her quirk isn't creation anymore but she can put things inside her and it's gone forever like a black hole but there is no hole it's just like Momo's quirk but backwards

we came to the conclusion that the opposite of acid is something cold so Mina has a ice quirk and looks like a narwhal

I made Bakugo who we are calling Gougou cause i think thats what the fandom calls prototype Bakugo's quirk high pressured water like a fire extinguisher and i turned the grenade gauntlets into ire extinguishers instead

But he doesn’t quite have that cutesy shonen delinquent stank, so it isn’t quite the same as the canon manga Bakugo.
