☀ SHRI KRISHNA CHAKRA ॐ ☀
"O Sudarśana Chakra, you have a very auspicious hub, and therefore you are the upholder of all religion. You are just like an inauspicious comet for the irreligious demons. Indeed, you are the maintainer of the three worlds, you are full of transcendental effulgence, you are as quick as the mind, and you are able to work wonders. I can simply utter the word “namaḥ,” offering all obeisances unto you."~Srimad-Bhagavatam 9.5.6

‘Go on, Deva, pick up your Vajra and kill your enemy.
Fate controls the lives of all beings, and their deaths. The only exception is the Parama Purusha, The Absolute - Supreme Self - Pure Awareness. The worlds and their Gods live and indulge in karma by the will of this Being, the Kaalatman - Time Self.
Knowing none of this, men identify themselves with their mortal bodies, forgetting the eternal Lord - Awareness, within their hearts.
He controls everything, and we are deceived that we are the doers.
No moment of our lives is in our hands. When fate wills, we are born. Fortune and misfortune, labour and rest, bright and dark, good and evil befall us, each in their time, as ordained by destiny. One should cast a cold eye upon these opposite things: honour and dishonor, poverty and wealth, victory and defeat, pleasure and pain, and yes, even life and death. This is the only wisdom.
And this wisdom can be obtained only with God’s grace. The man who knows that sattva, rajas and tamas are but the modes of nature, not the essences of the Self - Awareness, who is always an actless witness to the interplay of these gunas, that man is illumined and freed from the bonds of samsara.
Look at me, O Indra, You have vanquished me and sloughed off my arm with your Vajra. Yet, I shall fight you, and never give in to my last breath. That is my dharma.
A field of battle is a final gambling house: life is the stake, arrows the dice and our men and beasts the board across which the dice roll. But, finally, only Time knows who will win and who will lose the day, who will live and who die.’
Indra was silent for a long moment, gazing at this amazing adversary, this calm and enlightened Demon.
He joined his hands to show respect for his enemy, then said with a laugh, ‘Danavas, you are truly a Siddha! - Enlightened. Why, you are more, you are a true bhakta - devotee, the highest sort, of the Lord who rules the universe. Ignorance does not blind you, and you speak in wonderful wisdom at this moment of your direst peril.
Great Vritra, I bow to you that laugh in Death’s very face! The Lord’s maya - cosmic illusion, does not delude you, Asura. I am astonished that you, a demon, rajasic by nature, as such a devotee of the sattvik Lord Hari - Vishnu
A bhakta like you drinks from the ocean of amrita - immortality. What do the ditches and gutters, which are the pleasures of Devaloka - Heaven, mean to you, Great Vritra, noblest of my enemies?’
-Bhagavata Purana, Ramesh Menon
A discussion on
Indradev/ Devraj Indra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
(This is based on research and familiarity, and what I think he represents)
Devraj Indra a.k.a the king of the Gods, is also the lord of the Senses (Indriyas) and thoughts.
(Hari is Hrishikesh 'lord of Senses', making him the lord of Indra.
He's always depicted as arrogant, and full of pride at times. Afterwsrds he would realize and admit his mistake, then apologise to Bhagwan/Bhagwati.
This symbolises the mind of humans and our senses. Our way of thinking. We would feel arrogant at times. We would say, "this happened because of us". We would even feel like we're better than others. Then after facing a certain consequence, we realize that we were wrong. We apologize to Prabhu and promise to not make the mistake again. That is Indra.
It's so amazing how the Divine act like humans, just to teach us valuable things.
》 the fear of loosing the throne.
Devraj is always seen thinking that something or someone will become so strong and powerful, that they'll take his Singhasan (throne). So because of that fear, he as well as other devas would try to stop the Tapasya of Rakshasas, Rishis, or anyone who is doing strong tapasya in order to get a boon. However this contributes to the devotee's pariksha.
He's worried, because if he looses his throne, everything will be imbalanced. The panchabhootas would be out of control.
(The Rishi and the Rakshas/Asur (as mentioned) the Rishi doesn't desire to be on a royal throne. And the Rakshas/Asur is a form of adharm. And Dharma must prevail, in order to have balance)
Because of this, he protects his throne dutifully, for the sake of Jagat Kalyan.
Hence this represents the mind and soul.
If we dutifully protect our mind and soul, then how would something (like a thought, some type of negativity) come in to corrupt it. We're made up uf the Panchabootas and the 5 senses. We host thoughts in our minds, as well as emotions. Yet we must protect our seat (asana) which in the Soul, guided by Bhagwan/Bhagwati.
》The Apsaras.
He loves Nritya and Geet, as it's a divine gift of Mata Saraswati. The Apsara is always a form celestial feminine, as well as the Gandharvas were celestial males. Both talented in their skills and celestial appearance. The Devtao however respects them, because they're always in the mode of Sattwa (goodness, purity and godliness)
This, and their Somraas, symbomise the pleasures and fun of life. Everything comes into being, due to talent. And not an extraordinary talent. But something simple.
Talent as in being able to do something.
(We get food because people have a talent for cooking, we got entertainment because people have a talent for entertaining, we get jewelry because people have talent for making them, etc)
We find fun in nature because that's Prakriti, an extention of Maa Shakti. And who else represents Maa Shakti? Women. Hence the Apsaras.
Hope you enjoy this.
