When faced with the stark realization of nothingness, pure and unfiltered nothingness, there are three things that a person would do.
1) Scream and cry and beg and end up not doing anything of use before dying of your own faults in a tortured state.
2) Look into the nothingness and find peace and beauty in it, understanding it's what was always here all along, dying with your soul at rest.
3) Try to swim through it, thinking you can eventually escape if you try hard enough, only to eventually succumb to your efforts, dying trying to survive but getting nowhere.
You may think you are one or the other, trying to make yourself feel better. The truth is, you won't know which person you are until you are already dead.
