I forgot that my favorite part about Queer Eye is when they first get to someone's house and they're all commenting on some aspect of that person's life and then it just cuts to clips of Antoni digging through the fridge and either making faces of disgust or confusion

Tan’s voice breaking as he talks about how one day your parents might stop loving you one day but you can find people who will love you unconditionally

I love the moment between Antoni and Robert where Antoni asks if Robert's kids are picky eaters and Robert says that his daughter, Nova, won't eat anything even though based on her weight "you would think she was eating everything." Antoni immediately stops and asks where that's coming from, causing Robert to confront his own words and realize that he's (unintentionally) projecting his self-depracation and insecurities onto his daughter.

These type of moments happen all the time, a parent making a comment about their kid that they don't realize is harmful. I love how Antoni challenged Robert and how Robert learned from that moment.

I love how on Queer Eye, legit every guy ends up cuddling with jvn at some point in the episode. They go from mildly awkward to hugging the gay dude in the heels and translucent tank top.

Queer Eye Is So Refreshing

I was so scared that QE was going to be yet another makeover show that has fashionistas trying to force styles on people who were just trying to live their lives. But man, I am so happy to be proven wrong. I have finally gotten into the show and whoa. The positivity and confidence and empathy these dudes show on the daily is amazing. I love seeing the way they respect peoples’ different styles. I mean, when the first guy, Tom, said he had a red complexion because of lupus, Jonathan took it in stride and immediately started giving him useful skincare advice without blinking an eye. These dudes are redefining reality TV and I am here for it. If you need a break from cop dramas and dark, sad, angsty content, just check it out. This show is heartwarming, positive, inclusive, funny as hell, and just seriously entertaining. 

PS. I thought Jonathan was going to be annoying at first by being so over the top, but it was the complete opposite. I could go into detail about self-love and acceptance and addressing some serious internalised homophobia, but I won’t. All I can say about him (and the whole Fab 5) is that I would protect him with my whole life. He deserves the world, man.
