I also finally managed to get a good Uriah and Bathsheba design!

Uriah weapons are based off of the poll I did asking about what options to give him and spears ended up wining!

uhhhhh… Bathsheba rant below.

I really want Bathsheba to be more mean. More rude. More Manipulative. Like as a way to get back at David but it’s endorsed by Nathan (because they’re besties) and David (because why the heck not he’s tired and couldn’t care less if she mutilates the faces of a few of his wives or concubines).

I also want Bathsheba to SCAR David PHYSICALLY , yknow that cheek scar I draw David with sometimes? (Unless you don’t sorry) it’s a headcanon about Bathsheba’s rage about founding out that not only did he KILL HER HUSBAND but his action also KILLED HER FIRSTBORN CHILD that yknow… she carried for 9 months in her stomach knowing it was a bastard and was scared for her life from an experience that was less than consensual, pushed out of her body in labor, and nursed the infant to the best of her ability, only for it to die in a week (a man having depression doesn’t compare to the pain of a grieving mother because did HE have to push a baby out of his body for possibly up to or more 24 hours with the chance of her death on the line while in inscrutable pain only for it to die? No.)

I want her to say comments about the wives like saying Amnon got his behavior ** cough cough ** 2 Samuel 13 ** cough cough ** from his father and that with how many children Ahinoam had raised, she should’ve been a better mother. Possibly she might blame one of david’s wives for the death of her firstborn (like Wu Zetain thing but Bathsheba isn’t THAT level of manipulative once she entered the court) and set her sights on ruining Ahinoam’s reputation and then the other wives.

Just so happens that G-d seemingly is on her side with both Amnon and Absalom’s downfall as well as Chileab’s fatal disease. She just has to deal with the wives and concubines next and make David dependent on Nathan’s advice alone, despite some… familial issues getting in the way (her grandpa).

it’s SO HARD to find anything on Hittite hairstyles and clothing because they practically disappeared off the face of the earth and the only clothing I could find was for the women.

Also a Uriah doesn’t die au or a 2 Samuel 11-12 didn’t happen au

David & Bathsheba after the birth of Solomon.

So I had this headcanon of David’s crown originally being Jonathan’s and Jonathan gave it to him before Jonathan’s death and the crown became David’s crown as king. During Absalom’s coup, he somehow got the crown in his possession and once learning of the headpieces past, modified it with the spikes so it could be more ‘kingly’ and not ‘overly stuck in the past’ (he really had no problem it was originally Jonathan’s, he just didn’t like the aesthetics)

I wonder what David’s thinking about, so late at night… anyway.

(he was told that he couldn’t conduct kingly activities and meetings almost entirely naked and replied with ‘WELL IM THE KING SO SHUT IT!!!’ (Bathsheba promptly scolded him about etiquette))
