* Well, and just looking at this beautiful sculpture by Benjamin Victor, I can imagine Balem wouldn’t complain about it, lol *
was experimenting with David’s design to make him a bit more… extravagant I guess? (The lighting was weird for this one)
I also finally managed to get a good Uriah and Bathsheba design!
Uriah weapons are based off of the poll I did asking about what options to give him and spears ended up wining!
’ “You coward!” She repeated over and over again. “What can be done now? What can be done now? Give me back my life. I will never breathe the same air with you again! You coward! You coward!” ‘ - an exert from ‘The Case of The Crooked man’ , a Sherlock Holmes story inspired by the story of 2 Samuel 12
BATHSHEBA & THE WEEK-OLD INFANT
close ups: ⬇️
uhhhhh… Bathsheba rant below.
Uriah x Bathsheba ❤️❤️❤️
also some more Uriah sketches because I redesigned him to try to be a little more historically accurate than my last 3 (my first design of him still haunts me (I think I whitewashed him on my first design in February-march 2024)) ⬇️
got a new sketchbook
I’m trying to change bathsheba’s body to be more plump and pear shaped (I’m so proud of these sketches ❤️❤️)
some close up photos below ⬇️ :
also I’m trying out a new way of drawing eyes , it’s nice but not when I’m drawing small sketches though 😔.
David & Bathsheba after the birth of Solomon.
So I had this headcanon of David’s crown originally being Jonathan’s and Jonathan gave it to him before Jonathan’s death and the crown became David’s crown as king. During Absalom’s coup, he somehow got the crown in his possession and once learning of the headpieces past, modified it with the spikes so it could be more ‘kingly’ and not ‘overly stuck in the past’ (he really had no problem it was originally Jonathan’s, he just didn’t like the aesthetics)
NOW ONTO DAVID!!!
I wonder what David’s thinking about, so late at night… anyway.
ANGRY OLD MAN DAVID!!!!‼️
(he was told that he couldn’t conduct kingly activities and meetings almost entirely naked and replied with ‘WELL IM THE KING SO SHUT IT!!!’ (Bathsheba promptly scolded him about etiquette))
That’s the sketches I wanted to show with you so far!
