I have never shared how i sound singing hindustani classical ever. I had a huge gap of around 3 years due to academics, and now that i’m back at it..
saavan ghan garaje, is a bandish from raag miya malhar, a wonderful creation of Miya Tansen ji, one of the nine gems in the court of Akbar. He is believed to have been able to bring rains by singing this raag. This raag is associated with rain, and its rejuvenating effects, and is one of my favourites.
I dont sound good due to the severe lack of practice, but I am trying to get back at where I was 3 years ago.
Arsenal for winter season is locked & loaded— may Aphrodite keep us comfy (& smelling so rainforest-y) 🥰 & may the Mars Retrograde powerfully rejuvenate our sense of self 💥
Bit of a throwback but I don’t think I ever posted the ref I drew up for Hurricane Prince while I was making it! I miss this world sometimes... One day I’ll come back to it...!
BHATIYALI DHUN BY DR. BHAIRVI BHATT
i wouldn't classify you as one specific shade. you're more like various facets of one colour.
the soft blue that emerges from the grey sky at dawn where sometimes one can find the rising sun and the disappearing moon at the same time. the vivid cerulean expanse upon which the radiant sun is framed and the clouds look like an oil painting brought to life. the popping blue of my favourite notebook. the sapphire sky of the evening when the stars start twinkling. the deep, dark aquamarine depths of the ocean where life thrives in abundance. the blue that is in the air during summer. the icy colour one feels when they put something cool and refreshing against their skin on a sweaty, sultry day. that beautiful swirl of navy blue on a lapis lazuli. that hue that spreads like ink when night begins– the kind people often confuse with black but it's actually an intense, dark royal blue awaiting to comfort us when we turn to gaze upon it in times of despair.
i- i think i just cried
how dare you write such beautiful things. how dare you. i feel like i should write something like that for you, too. i could never match your magic tho 😔
My mood these days -
Semi Classical songs which are kinda inspired by a Gambhir Prakriti (Serious nature) Raga + Shringaar ras (emotions/essence of erotic love, passion, etc) and sung by a female>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For example👇🏼 (I only understand the Hindi versions but non Hindi versions are a delight to my ears)
