Today it's been 16 years since the release of Sam Raimi's laughably outdated Spider-Man movie. But it was the most amazing comic book movie at the time for me, especially as an origin story. But watching it now, after every Marvel movie that followed, I can't help but laugh at all of the bad special effects (wooden Spidey) and how a window explodes behind a character multiple times throughout the film and how annoying Mary Jane is as the damsel in distress (which was all she did for the 3 movies.) However, it holds a special place in my heart just like Tim Burton's Batman does. And let's not forget the Spider-Man game that was released for PS2.
