I paused watching Only Friends: Dream On weekly at ep 7 and waited to binge the last 5 eps. This was the right decision because if I'd continued watching whilst it was airing I would have thrown my laptop out of a window. At least with S1 they let all the boys kiss all the other boys (mostly) even though they didn't ultimately break any ships. This time? Nope. They didn't even let Boston kiss anyone. Boston! S1 felt at least a little like a realistic gay friend group but this lot? No. It might have worked better as a stand alone series although I still found some of the characters absolutely insufferable (Hi Jack!). Frankly Dean and Rome should have run away together.

If, as the stinger hinted, they're going to do an S3 then please, for the love of god, let the gay men back in the writing room...
