Whatever Happened to Lover's Lake? ❤️Bob's Hidden Road Map To Get Out 🌈
Bob uses Lover's Lake to free Hopper from the Upside Down tunnels in S2. In S4, El escapes the rainbow room memory maze after remembering love conquered fear. In S5, the lake which represents love is hidden behind a wall that has signal interference from tampered airwaves. So how do they get through? Remember.👇🏻
Rainbow room but make it Peanuts
Testing A Lie: The Hawkins Lab Massacre (Pt. 4)
► The Rainbow Room / The Main Stage
Dark room: In Brenner's version he entered the room while the lights were already on (picture below). In El’s version he entered the room when it was really dark and then the lights turned on, being really bright. It felt kind of - theatrical.
Different children: In Brenner’s and El’s version the children are completely exchanged, in El’s version they have their eyes closed, but they aren't missing entierly. The cracks on the wall are gone, too. (I'll research this further as soon as possible.)
Missing blood: There’s no blood on the cube next to 007.
Nightmares: In "The First Shadow" Henry was calling his good visions dreams and his bad ones nightmares through the whole play. These terms were used a lot in season 4, too. Hawkins Lab was described as the Nightmare Lab in the script.
A play: Henry described his life with a lot of terms like ‘acting’ and ‘performing.’
Copy of fight against 002: El fought against 002 in a game, the rules said not to use your emotions, else you’ll lose. El won using her emotions.
▷▷ When 002 got smashed into the window there were cracks, when El did the same to Henry there were none.
Game instructions: Earlier Henry asked El if she’s up for something more challenging and that she should keep playing the game if she understands. It's possible that they are still playing the game and these are instructions of how she should behave. (Thank you for your help with this badbuiltghostbones!)
X as an indicator: The blood stain on Henry's cheek kept changing during his talk with El. When she entered the room it wasn't there at all, it just appeared out of the blue. Then it started switching between the X and the Y form. I think it was Henry communicating with El in secret, using the X to reveal lies or to show her that he's acting / still playing the game.
You can read my full theory about the Hawkins Lab massacre and the triple reveal being a lie here. ↩
Parallel or reshaped memory?: El killing the demogorgon in season 1 and Henry in season 4 is portrayed the same way.
The rainbow room itself: In S2 and S4 the rainbow room was portrayed differently. The room could have easily been moved in between the time periods, but there are still two different versions of it.
X everywhere: Hawkins Lab itself has the form of an X and in the first shot from the rainbow room there's a dice showing a 5, which looks like an X, too. (Season 5 = Lie?) The bullies surrounding El build an X/5 form, too.
