*You’re feeling pretty good today, especially since today is the day that you’re going to the Lamia (and Felid) Bittybones Adoption Center to find some companions, including a Chain to make your daily life a bit easier. When you first set out towards the shop, you were nervous that there might not be a Chain with a compatible SOUL to bond with you, but as you get closer to the shop, you are amazed to feel a tug from your SOUL leading you to your destination.
*A Chain opens the door for you, holding out a skeletal hand to guide you into the shop. You can’t help but notice that his chest is glowing, and that your SOUL is almost reaching for his. You allow the bond to settle, and the Chain gives you a huge smile. The sensation of belonging, comfort, and contentment washes over you.
*You walk further into the shop with the Chain slithering along at your side. You tell him about yourself and what you’re looking for in a lamia, and he tell you a bit about himself. The Chain is well-travelled, with a passion for cultures and food! You’re so excited that you almost miss the fact that you’ve arrived at the Papython nesting area.
*The Papythons quickly slither forward to greet you, friendly and affectionate. You wonder aloud if any of them use sign language, and the one closest to you excitedly nods. You see he has a pin that says ASL certified which he wears with pride right next to a service bitty certified pin. He would be a great addition to your bitty family, and when you tell him so, he explodes in an adorable blush.
*Unfortunately, at this point, you are beginning to feel a bit overheated and a bit overwhelmed. The Chain senses your emotions and calmly leads you to a quiet, cool area off to the side. The lights are dimmed, and you see a variety of stim items laid out for those who need them. The Papython slithers away, returning soon with a Honey Bo. The Honey Bo offers you a set of headphones with some relaxing music playing. You take your time until the overwhelmed feelings pass. The lamias stay by your side, making sure you can recover in a safe and welcoming environment.
*When you stop at the front desk to fill out the paperwork, you see that Vex has packed up a variety of warm sweaters for your lamias to wear so that they don’t cold. From the adoring looks on your lamias’ faces, you suspect that they’d stay with you even without the extra warmth. Just to be safe, you ask for a few extra clothing items as well.
