Il libro di Jacques Garance e Maud Ratton edita da Jon Glez è giunta alla terza ristampa. Inutile che vi affanniate a cercare Notre Dame o la Tour Eiffel, altrimenti che Parigi insolita sarebbe? Però potete tranquillamente perdervi tra cortili, passages, stazione fuori uso del metro e, come diceva Walter Benjamin se "perdersi in una città non vuol dire un gran che, smarrirsi in essa è una cosa tutta da imparare". E perdersi nella Parigi di Garance e Ratton è davvero un'avventura meravigliosa. Se siete stufi di vedere la austera maestà di Notre Dame, provate a cimentarvi nell'esercizio estetico di trovare il bello nella chiesa di Notre Dame du Travail di Plaisance progettata da Jules Astuc, se non ne potete più del Musée d'Orsay, un salto al Museo dei calchi dermatologici non vi farebbe male. Fatevi un giro in Rue de Turbigo al numero civico 57 per ammirare l'angelo che sembra non poter guardare indietro come quello di Paul Klee. Chi vi dice che le vetrate della Sainte Chapelle siano più interessanti di quelle della Società Immobiliare della Salumeria Francese di rue Bachaumont? E forse che il "Passage du Caire" evoca meno l'Egitto dell'Ala Denon del Louvre? Sapevate forse che i pompieri della Rue Blanche coltivano una vigna o che la stazione del metro "Arts et Métiers" è stata progettata da un grande disegnatore di fumetti come François Schuiten? Certo si tratta di particolarità, di bizzarrie, di angoli riposti della Ville Lumière, ma se siete ormai parigini d'adozione come me o turisti davvero fai da te, questo libro-guida potrebbe aprirvi scenari che voi umani mai avreste immaginato.
