Hoboken's "Banned Books Read-a-Thon" scheduled for Saturday at the public library is still on this weekend, despite a LibsofTikTok post.
Infamous fascist shithead account LOTT posted about a local library’s banned book read-a-thon and now the library is receiving death/bomb threats etc. Bravely, the library will be going ahead with the event. If you’re in the area and would like to show support, stop by.
Never participated in a read-a-thon so this is gonna be fun! I’m finishing Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and then I’ll start The Last Kingdom! Might read some Mary Oliver Poetry too!
24.09.2020// i read 700 pages so far for the 1000 pages read-a-thon and i'm enjoying myself a lot. i feel like i'm finally getting back into reading. here are some of the books i'm reading plus some notes on Fahrenheit 451. so far i only finished Normal People (great book btw).

The idea behind this read-a-thon is to reread books you read or tried to read between 2014 and 2019, kind of like a recap. The only challenge is to read 1-2 books from each of those 6 year. If you can’t oh well, but a challenge is always fun I think.

72 hour Read-a-Thon
I’ve been in the most mild reading slump for the last few months but I don’t work Friday-Sunday (December 7th- 9th). So in hope of pulling myself out of this reading slump and finishing my must reads for this year I’m going to be doing a 3 days read a thon!
My goals:
1. A conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab
2. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
3. Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake
4. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I am already a decent chunk into Strange the Dreamer and A Conjuring of Light so I’m pretty confident that I can finish a couple books over the weekend. Wish me luck!
