This is probably a really stupid thing to beat yourself up about, but I really hate how much I DON’T read. Especially Fanfiction. There are so many things I would love to read, both published works at Fanfiction, but my brain won’t let me because idk it said so. It doesn’t help that I’m a pretty slow reader, but even with the stuff I am actively reading I’ll just put down for a month or two because I have no motivation to read, no matter if I’m enjoying the story or not.

It’s annoying, since I know reading will help me feel motivated to write. It’s something I need to work on I guess. Anyone have any tips?

I have specs, but I honestly hate wearing them, so I avoid putting them on as much as I can. But at this point I kind of have to start wearing them again because I can’t read properly without getting a headache.

for some reason, I won't spend time reading a book that I'll probably end up enjoying, but I'll gladly spend 2 hours watching a lady on youtube ranting about a book I'll never read in my life

If only I could consume books on my tbr with as much enthusiasm as I do fanfic, my reading goal would be so high. But half these books don't need to be as long as they are 😭

I hat that feeling when I want to read a book and im already in the middle of reading it but I want to read another book a little more and then I take ages more to finish the book im currently reading so I can start the book i want to read
