Not that I don't appreciate people pointing out that using Dude as a "gender neutral term" when addressing trans women is shitty, [because it very much is, please stop doing so immediately].
But uhhh...., how do I get people to stop calling me "man". Like you would think people at least understand that calling a trans woman a man is a no go, but apparently not.
#I think perhaps a wicked headsman's axe would solve this problem#this is a joke/vent but also very much an ongoing problem in my life#like to me being called dude is the sort of dull blow that builds up over time#but being called man makes me want to kill#like more than being misgendered honestly#because it indicates to me that people who knowww I am a trans woman and know how I want to be referred to continue to think of me as a man#and do not even care enough to “humor me” for the sake of social graces or to spare my feelings#which is also the problem with the dude issue now that I think of it#Is that trans women are asking for something really simple#really easy#small potatoes really in the grand scheme of things#and people do not care enough to change even though they understand why you don't want to be called that#or worse still [from my perspective] people who say they will do so if asked personally#as if to make out that it is a personal problem for every trans woman who does not want to be called dude#and if I'm being honest people who take that attitude rarely actually make the change when you ask anyway so....#yeah second post on my post but in the tags#perhaps a second and a third#anyway I'm just here to complain
