A closed door can be so many things! 🚪💫
The way people treat you is their choice. It is not in your realm of control. You can't make anyone value, support, or protect you who does not want to. No matter the role you had in their life, how well you treated them, or how long you've known them. All the kindness, compassion, and care you extend will not guarantee a person will have the capacity or desire to reciprocate any of that to you. And as difficult as that truth may be to accept, you must also understand that what feels like rejection from people you love is oftentimes God's painful yet profound gift or redirection. He's highlighting the need for you to reevaluate your priorities and the positions you currently have people placed.

We can cling so tightly to an idea that when life takes it away from us, we lose ourselves. We become upset and distracted from where we are really meant to be going.
It may be hard to see it in the beginning, but that path you were on likely was going to cause you more harm than good in the long-run. It's likely best that you were forced to exit that path sooner so that bigger and better things could come your way.
