I would be opposed to Jerkulus even if it were a het ship. It has nothing to do with it being two guys and everything to do with the fact that your ship is toxic as fuck and the way you treat Lily is hella misogynistic.

kittywater in zombie apoc au (sorry zombie apoc has been on my mind lately & it fits them way too well). dolores is surrounded by zombies, in the middle of a horde, desperately praying that a handsome prince might save her: and then a slighter, less-handsome-than-his-brother figure shows up and she has to settle for regulus.
he bitch slaps all the zombies away from his future wifey and croaks powerfully in his reedy voice: "gEt awAy frOm hEr!" (he has voice cracks) dolores immediately sees through him and realizes she's landed herself with a whiny twink instead of a prince. anyways, regulus blushes and falls over himself bc someone is finally paying him attention, and dolores rolls her eyes a lot and decides he'll do. she immediately starts like, bullying him, trying to whip him into shape i guess?
this raises reg's hackles, so yk he starts snapping back & generally just being cruel to dolores, who honestly finds him more attractive bc of it. they continue on their way in the apocalypse, falling in twisted & creepy love. dolores heavily disdains regulus but is also sooo jealous bc ofc she knew who he was, regulus black, of the BLACK family!! she was so so spiteful bc what did regulus do to deserve such wealth & fame?? what did he have that she didn’t other than fortune??

everything is great with them rly...til regulus gets bitten. yeah. his eyes go dead (inferius!reg real) and he faints—he doesn't have much time left lol. he daintily falls like a pretty princess into dolores' arms...except she immediately drops him because EWW!!!! zombie cooties! a better woman mightve tried to save him but dolores knows a sinking ship when she sees one. 🫡🫡 rip kittywater
