i'm wondering now about names.  especially like religious names.  i mean, michael and gabriel and john were all names before the bible, right?  why does michael mean who is like god?  what if before the bible it meant he who likes apples?  like, the name doesn't define who the person is, the person defines the name.  which is also, i think, why a lot of people are hesitant to name characters after people they know because then their characters start to take on the real person's personality.  but then when you're writing, if you have a cast of characters with names like david and christopher and ruth and rachel and eve and rebeccah and joseph and joshua people are going to assume you have religious undertones, even if you don't, even if that's something you're trying to fight against, they're still going to find similarities with the bible and religious references.  which isn't a horrible thing but when people are so focused on the name and other people who were named that name and what those people represented, it really starts taking away from your story.
