"They're gorgeous." Regulus' words drip with awe as his head tilts up. James looks down to see his body more relaxed. He smiles fondly at the sight, grateful that Regulus can't see his face at the moment. "I agree." James says as his eyes stay honed in on Regulus, the sight of the jellyfish long forgotten. That's when he feels his heart start to skip, and his breath comes out a little wonky.  All his thoughts are narrowed down to one point. It's just Regulus and only him. And oh. Oh. Oh fuck.

Striving for Gold

Marlene has worked her whole life to get to the Winter Olympics. Her drive and her focus have never been better; after all, she is one move away from winning gold. But someone from her past saunters back into the picture, altering what she thought would be an effortless and mindless win. Now her emotions are muddled and her mind is struggling to stay level-headed with every interaction they have, as it reminds her of all the what-ifs.

Figure skating has been Mary's whole life ever since she was little. And just like any other girl, she always dreamed of winning gold at the Olympics. She feels more than just optimistic about being here, as she knows she's talented but also because she has given every single drop of her blood, sweat, and tears for this. However, she never imagined being just a wall away from the girl she never forgot after all these years. Being around her all the time is grating on her nerves and makes her want to slip back into old habits.

What will they do when they have to confront each other and still strive for winning gold?
