Summary:
In Hatchetfield people go missing every single day. But you already knew that, right? You're probably just as used to it as the residents of Hatchetfield themselves. Shame, really. What can you do? It’s not like it changes anything, right?
Except… this time, when Stephanie Lauter is nine years old, her mom goes missing, and it makes her perfect.
This time Peter Spankoffski’s brother goes missing the summer before his freshman year, and he gives up.
Though, in all fairness to you and your assumptions, otherwise the story stays more or less the same…. with a few exceptions, of course.
(Alternatively titled: A Steph-Pete personality swap,.,.,..,,... kinda sorta)
I’ve been thinking about a Steph Pete reverse au where steph is still the popular one and Pete is still lame but in VERY different ways for months now I care about them

he is like This
Eight months.
Calliope had been in this mansion for eight months, though it felt like a lifetime. She had lost track of how many hours she had spent between training and helping Amando set up the parameters for this brand new position—assassin support, he had called it initially. Strategy was the far more apt term.
Calliope had progressed quickly through standard training, and then through assassin training, though she knew she was hardly cut out for it. The assassins were a group unto themselves. Calli could hold her own, but she remained too full of heart to kill anyone on an order. So they had decided to make her a trainer four months in, until she planned the most successful recon mission the Revelations had run—now they were itching to make her a brand new position.
For now she would do both; strategy did not take up all hours of the day, after all. Having finally moved into her new office in the tech wing, Calliope felt she could breathe. There was work to do, certainly, but she could at least rest easy knowing the orchids were in their rightful places.
The chime of an encrypted message reminded Calliope she was, in fact, working.
Amando lightly suggesting she get acquainted with the security team since she would be needing their eyes to plan the next recon.
A breath tumbled over tired lips as Calliope stood from her chair, auburn locks cascading over shoulders. She already knew the hackers. Stepping through the threshold of her sanctuary, Calliope trotted down the long hallway, looking in doors of empty offices—likely from everyone being at dinner or simply having friends with whom to hang out.
She sighed.
Four doors down, an office was occupied. Finally. Knocking on the doorframe, Calliope gave a half smile. “Knock, knock,” she called, pausing briefly. “I’m Calliope: the new Head Strategist. I don’t think we’ve met.”
