A faded butterfly wing in the dirt
Such fragile things were not meant to last
Hypocrisy in every one of those words
Everyday I'm more sure I'm a mimick
Mine are an illusion, just real enough to die
Their explanations always fall short
How can I be the original? It's false
Butterflies just another loose end
Weaving it's way around us in time
Surely he's clever enough to realize too
I don't know how yet, it's still impossible
As everything once seemed
Dreaming is a Mystery
Dreams. They are What we make them to be. They are our utopia. Our escape from reality. Our perfect worlds. They fill our heads. They romanticize The things we want. The things we desire. But sometimes…
Dreams. They have a habit, Of changing In a matter of seconds, No matter how small They start. Some into lucid dreams, Which will often fade, And others Into paralyzing night terrors, Which will often haunt. All consequences of…
Dreams. That search our subconscious. Showing us, What we strive most To hide. Revealing to us, Secrets. That, we ourselves, Refuse to accept In our waking hours. Like they are pulling Straight from the deepest parts Of our souls.
I'm at my limit, all I see is the afterglow
These words will outlive me
These melting thoughts are all I know
This burning lake is all I was meant to be
An updraft is a savior at the eleventh hour
Scorching heat kisses me from below
Much stronger than my own power
Solid ground, charred feathers hide woe
Ive seen what happens there, I feel no envy
Even if I perish here, there is nothing to loose
I've proved my worth with no witnesses
I have won my own heart, despite weakness
I have won it without my true wings
It is my strength, blooming in this hostile air
Like the bluish vines dotting the blackened banks
If feelings are a waste of time
I'll miss you if I blink
I spend too much time stopping to think
I've seen the me you imagined
Surrounded by pastel purple and pink
In a black and white dream
Holding thier clawless hand
As though they are some sort of guardian
As though they're complete in themselves
Soothing Rain
Rain. It comes in many forms. Hail. Mist. Ice. And snow.
It can rain From the inside And from the outside. It can ebb And flow like the tide Or come in sheets, Whiting out the world before you.
Nothing though, Can quite beat, Camping rain. Laying in a hammock listening, To the pitter patter, The drip drip drip of rain drops on the tarp, Strung up above you, Keeping you dry.
The monotonous melody Of the dripping above you Is a constant Natural ambiance, So soothing. Perfect for lulling you To sleep.
Safe Haven
A home. A sanctuary. A refuge. An escape. And a heaven.
A place of love. A place of joy. A place of happiness. A place of hope. And a place of fun.
A place to be yourself. A place to be free. A place to be open. A place to be a friend. And a place to learn.
Here, you find friends. You find relationships to last a lifetime. You find role models And people to look up to.
You find out who you are, The person you’re meant to be. You find your place And give back to those, Who gave to you.
