For barbecue fans, these smoky BBQ ribs are a real treat. The dry rub adds just the right amount of sweet and savory, and the slow smoking process gives the meat a rich smokiness. Cover it with a thick layer of BBQ sauce to make it taste so good you'll want to lick your fingers.
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons paprika. 1 tablespoon black pepper. 1 tablespoon salt. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 cup BBQ sauce. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs. Let the ribs sit for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate. Prepare your smoker with wood chips. Aim for a temperature of 225F 107C. Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and continue smoking for an additional hour or until the internal temperature reaches 190F 88C. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
