       perhaps one of the most brutal judges  within the entertainment industry, so jisub, ceo of royal entertainment, a south korean multi-media      agency most popular in western countries, strives to perfect the vocals talents of its trainees         and scout talented musicians globally.                 a good percentage of royal           entertainment’s trainee base are                      international artists.      due to fierce competition, it is also not easy        to debut if placed in royal entertainment.

♚┋❛ just like old times ,

she feels like she can breathe easier when lunch time comes around. when the constant scrutiny from instructors halts for an hour, the only time she feels that they’re allowed to have some sort of enjoyment within the seventeen hour workday trainees were subjected to. a sigh escapes past her lips, lithe arms raising in the air to stretch slightly sore muscles as she makes her way to the cafeteria. at the end of the month it will be a year since nana has been a trainee, she remembers; and it’s odd for her to think about. new trainees have joined after her, instructors know her by name, and she’s sure her skills have developed ( somewhat ) since joining, but she still feels like the new kid in school, still feels unsure about herself in this company.

sadness isn’t something that nana lets people see so easily -- no, negative emotions like that were to only be expressed behind closed doors, not in the line of cafeteria -- so she pushes those thoughts away, lets them rest within the crevices of her mind only to be set free late at night when she was alone. instead, she focuses upon the back view of an all too familiar brunette, seated by herself at one of the tables. slipping away from the line, sneakers soles advance stealthy on linoleum flooring as nana makes her way towards the girl; only stopping when she was inches away, wrapping her arms around the others frame slowly to make her presence known. “hoshi-chaaaaaaan ~” is whispered affectionately, chin resting upon hailey’s shoulder as she envelops her in a hug, “what are you up to, hmm ~ ?”

{ past } morning routine ;

kibum stands outside his apartment building, holding a styrofoam coffee cup -- the kind you find at popular cafes like starbucks -- in each hand. he occasionally sips from the one in his right hand, and he wishes he had somewhere to set the other one down so he could  get his phone out and actually do something to occupy himself while he waits. he knows hailey probably won’t take much longer before she arrives, but still. he feels awkward standing there with two coffee cups.

after about thirty more seconds of trying to resist the urge to do so, he finally gives in and squats down, setting the drink in his left hand (the one with hailey’s name written on the side of the cup) on the ground and struggling to take his phone out of his pocket with his legs and pants bent at such an intense angle. before he can even get to the device, however, a familiar car pulls up to the curb, and he sighs to himself. he should have known that as soon as he tried to get comfortable, she would show up.

he stands up again, but not before picking up the other’s coffee once more. in order to open the car door, he has to set his own drink on top of the roof, but before he gets in he grabs it once more. “took you long enough,” he gripes, though he’s sure hailey can tell he’s only teasing. “i even buy you coffee, and you repay me by making me wait. how rude,” he says with a grin, handing her the cup with her name on it. “i hope i remembered the way you like it.”

He couldn’t see her crying because that made the urge to protect her grow bigger. Normally he always looked for a peaceful solution but sometimes war was the answer. He hated them. For what they had done to Hailey and for what they were. People like that were scumbags to him. 

Silently he pulled her into his gentle embrace. He felt her hot tears burning on his skin and the sound of her sobbing made his heart squeezing. She was such a strong person but sometimes there were times like that. Slowly he put her face into both palms of his hands and strokes her cheeks softly. He whispered promises of always protecting her but also wanted her to promise herself that she won’t give up when he wouldn’t be there anymore. He didn’t want her to change so others wouldn’t hurt her. Life was fighting, although they sometimes had to fight blindfolded and without any chance. 

Hope and strength would never get lost when she was able to keep her soul.

↪ Noraebang Fun ✩ Bora & Hailey↩

Even though Bora had dropped out of school she still felt exhausted after her schedule was finished, though that wasn’t going to stop her from going out and having some fun, especially when it meant getting to hang out with Hailey. She loved spending time with the other female because they just seemed to get along very well, having been friends for a few years now. Hailey was one of Bora’s best friends who she cherished a lot and would do anything for, one of the few people who she trusted and also one of the few people who actually knew about her past, the two sharing secrets with one another. The other was just like a sister to Bora and she couldn’t ask for a better friend other than Hailey.

Earlier that day she had suggested going and hanging out after they finished their schedule, the topic of noraebang coming up in which they both agreed on, and now there they were heading towards the noraebang bar to spend a relaxing time just dancing around and sing in a room as much as they wanted. You’d think that they would be tired from actually doing something that they have to do basically every single day, though Bora wasn’t. She loved music and she loved going to places like this where she could just be free and do whatever she wanted without people like instructors criticizing how she performed.

She usually rapped when she even had the chance to go to places like noraebang’s, though they had decided that when they got there that they would switch things up so that Bora would be doing the singing and Hailey would be doing the rapping (something that Bora wasn’t exactly excited about but didn’t mind since it was just going to be her and Hailey). Usually it took a lot of convincing before she would even agree to sing something, especially since rapping and dancing were the things that she was most confident in, knowing very well that her vocals weren’t exactly something that should be heard among a group of people.

Bora stretched her arms over her head, yawning a little as they walked, before she spoke. “I’m ready to just let loose, especially after being cooped up in the company all day. How about you?” She said with a smile on her faces, looking over at her friend as she spoke. “Maybe we can even order some food while we’re at it.” She linked arms with the other, something that she mostly did with Hailey since they were close to one another. There were actually a lot of things that Bora did with Hailey that she didn’t really do with most of her friends but that was because she felt a lot closer to the other than she really did with her other friends.
