Controversial take but I actually think Rogue, Gambit, and Deadpool actually have potential to be a much more interesting love triangle story than Rogue, Gambit, and Magneto.

The problem with Rogue, Gambit, and Magneto is that it’s always going to be Rogue choosing between a guy who is willing to love her regardless of what she can and can’t give him vs. guy she can have sex with. It’s not usually treated as one sided but one side is definitely better than the other. It also puts all the pressure on Rogue making it all her choice with no push or pull from each side.

Gambit, Rogue, and Deadpool on the other hand has that push or pull. Rogue can touch Deadpool but she gets his cancer along with everything else. This is a good enough reason for Deadpool to push her away. It’s clearly harmful and not good for her so he wouldn’t want to inflict it on her even if the effects for him are favorable. Potentially Rogue would want to peruse a relationship with Deadpool because usually he gets temporary relief from his cancer and that would probably appeal to the hero side of her. Gambit and Rogue is self explanatory I think everyone reading this knows the conflict in their relationship. Rogue is scared of hurting Gambit by touching him Gambit lives Rogue regardless.

Don’t take this post as me attacking anyone’s preferences either. I really don’t care if you prefer Rogue and Gambit, Rogue and Magneto, Rogue and Deadpool, Rogue and Squirrel Girl (Me), or Rogue and Hela (Also Me).

I'm sorry but can you understand how insane Rogue's powers are? (Or rather how insane I am about them?) And I don't even mean it in a strenght sense. I meant that she literally absorbs a person's personality and memories, and even the sentiments/emotions attached to those memories

Imagine allowing her to touch you and she still falls in love with you. She'll literally see every ugly flawed part of your mind and still love you

She'll be you as much as you are, and she'll love you nevertheless
