Whumpier version of Flash 9x04 where Bivolo uses his powers on Barry the whole time.
You’re telling me he overwhelmed Barry with fear to capture him and then NEVER DID IT AGAIN?!?!?! Imagine how he could fuck with his emotions even more…
I mean. Barry kept him in a 4x4 box for NINE MONTHS. That’s plenty of incentive to cause him as much anguish as possible, and with his powers there’s SO MUCH potential there!
He can make him scared, that’s awesome. Fun, definitely whumpy, but why stop there when there’s so many other options?
In classic 1x08 fashion, make him angry again. Make him thrash in his bindings and threaten to kill all of them once he gets out of here… But he can’t, because his powers are suppressed, and that helplessness just makes him angrier.
Then after a bit of that, switch it up again. You know what would be fucked up in this scenario? Rainbow Raider 2.0 (she might’ve had a different name; I don’t remember) style, make him happy. Uncontrollably so, unsettling even if he weren’t currently captive. This is where the physical torture should start btw. Stab him or smth and watch how he just grins and can’t even react to the pain.
At this point we’re definitely going for humiliation as well as maximum anguish, so it seems fitting to make him sad next. And this is Barry we’re talking about, he’s got sorrow and grief the size of a hundred suns, so you know once those floodgates are open it’s gonna get rough real fast. Ah. A superhero reduced to a sobbing mess in front of his enemies entirely against his own will. Sounds fun to me.
Maybe add some more emotions (my braincells have run out), but definitely at the end— turn it all off. Let his emotions go back to normal with no interference. After all of that; see how horrible he’ll be feeling of his own volition :)
