all I’m saying is that if I had written supernatural we would’ve had a rubysam sex scene where he’s eating her out and when he lifts his head and you can see blood dripping down his chin

Dean and Sam in comparison defined by their partner in my Men of Letters destiel AU:
Ruby and Sam: "The one who betrayed Hell and the one who tried stopping Hell."
Castiel and Dean: "The one who obeys Heaven’s every order and the obedient archivist chosen by Heaven."
catch up here: Just like Heaven (strange as angels) - Chapter 1 - Supernatural (TV 2005) - NoahWoah69 [Archive of Our Own]
Huge fan of A/B/O supernatural where Dean walks into that motel room with Sam and Ruby and they both immediately freeze up, absolutely, undoubtedly sure he can scent it. Ruby knows they can’t hide it, so she’s scrambling for some explanation while standing in the doorway staring at Dean, jumping to the thought that their last hope is that he won’t realize it’s her.
But Dean so fucked up from hell that he’s not used to Sam’s scent anymore. His alpha should be able to pick up on the subtlest of differences, especially something like this, especially in another alpha he knows so well, but hell has dulled that, it’s dulled everything.
So miraculously, he doesn’t realize. Of course, the room is filled with the cloying sex scent, strong enough that even a beta like Bobby wrinkles his nose at it, but Dean just ignores the smell of sex and clasps Sam into a hug, not so much as blinking when Ruby causally makes her leave, her eyes locking with Sam’s in question and promise as she walks out the door.
It cracks something inside Sam that Dean can’t realize, it’s some fucked up physical manifestation of how badly hell has messed Dean up, but of course he is so relieved that Dean can’t tell yet. Maybe he’ll never be able to tell. Maybe Sam won’t ever have to admit to his big brother what he’s done.
But then when Dean does see them together again, and he’s not quite so jolted and messed up anymore, he knows.
And the accusation is not only: “You’re working with the demon.” It’s worse.
He turns to Sam, nearly in disbelief.
Dean’s mouth freezes, lips stuttering like he can’t believe the words he’s saying. His head turns back to Ruby, her name falling from his lips as a confirmation.
“Ruby.”
She nods, oddly still, defensive, cautious.
And Dean turns back to Sam, voice more strained than Sam has ever heard it.
“You mated her?”
even though I'm a very avid reader, I have the horrible habit of skimming and it came back to bite me today bc I'm rereading darkest minds and I got to the part where ruby is telling liam about her parents/Sam and am sobbing bc I had never read the part where ruby says that she was "Sam's 'Chubs' until she wasn't" and for some reason I had never realized how close they had been(even though im also pretty sure they have a cute reunion scene in ITA but i need to reread the whole book too bc its been forever and tbh i dont remember how it ends) and it just broke my heart idk...anyway don't skim your books kids
a late seasons ruby resurrection has both great comedic potential (“your ex-girlfriend?” “yes claire” “your demon ex-girlfriend?” “yes claire. don’t do drugs”) and tragic narrative callback lucifer full circle potential (“well, society’s carrying on as normal, so obviously you didn’t say yes. i thought i told you he’d give you everything, sam” “i did.” “what?” “i did say yes” “…then what the fuck happened?” “i burned.”)
I just find it really funny that Sam, the boy who always had faith, always prayed to and believed in god, had sex with a demon. And dean, the guy who never cared about or believed in god and even mocked Sam for praying to god had sex with an angel. I don't know something about that just doesn't sit right with me.
Everybody: "sam, don't trust ruby, she's extra fake!"
Ruby betrays sam
Sam:
I just love ‘em. Sorry not sorry. Another little screencap collage.Hope you guys like it.
