been on a mesozoico kick lately... say hello to my silly dinos :3c [info on em under da cut]

neither are named atm [if anyone has suggestions its highly appreciated!!] but! despite being different species [Rugops Jubatus and Tyrannosaurus Sonorus "Rex"], they are mother and son!

miss rugops, the smaller one, had children of her own species once, but lost them in a raid from a couple Dilophosaurus Cristatus. this is also how she got her bigass scar, which renders her half-deaf and partially blind.

very soon after, still grieving her lost offspring, she found an orphaned adolescent rex, and adopted him almost immediately. her maternal instincts were still in full force after all, and he looked an awful lot like her! they've been living as a family unit since :]

extra fun fact: miss rugo is partially melanistic, or an "ashy rugops"! regular members of her species resemble cheetahs, but i wanted her to look like her baby....

A pair of fossilized vertebrae of an indeterminate theropod, possibly an abelisauroid from the Kem Kem Group in Taouz, Morocco. It's hard to say what species it belongs to, whether it is an abelisaurid or a large nosasaurid, or something else entirely. Cf. Rugops primus and Deltadromeus agilis are possible contenders assuming the latter is a true noasaurid. There is some typical Moroccan glue that slathered onto the specimen that is difficult to remove without damaging the bone, but for the most part, it seems mostly natural.
