Everyone has been cursed by Ao3! Everyone is struggling to write. It's this damn heatwave.
Speaking of heat, how does everyone fair in the heat? I imagine the ones with fur prefer the cool inside.

But anyways, since its been so long without any food from me, I figured I might as well give ya'll some lil treats in the meantime while I try to gather my motivation back up!
It's actually kinda funny, but even the plastic toys kids like to stay in the shade! Then again, still, it pretty much varies from individual to individual! Some kids— even those with fur— prefer to sunbathe and play around in the grass and with flowers! Some like to collect sticks and pretend that they are having a sword fight or magical battle in the middle of a fiery blaze, some like to use various things as light sabers and whatnot.
Other kids can handle the heat for a while, but then have to cool off, so they tend to stay in the shade, but still prefer outside and the slight summer breeze over hiding inside!
And some just prefer to stay inside and avoid the deadly sky laser. :33
The furred ones have it somewhat better, because even if the fur keeps them warm, it also insulates! So it's not like they are constantly overheating, thankfully!
Plastic, however, can melt.
Oh boy was it not fun finding that out when some of the kids with plastic skin ran inside the home with their body parts basically melting. Talk about all the sleepless nights and nightmares this caused... yeesh..
Thankfully, plastic has a lot of, well.. plasticity. So it wasn't too hard to mold the misshaping back. With very careful hands, of course!
Poppy is one of the few who love to be out in the sun during summer. She especially enjoys the flowers that give the world around some nice colours.
Oliver prefers to... be in water actually. He doesn't care where he is during summer, as long as he can take a dip and possibly jumpscare someone. Still, even if he doesn't go for a dip, he prefers to not care wether he's in shade or the full blast of the sun. As long as there's something or someone he can observe, he will do so wherever he feels fit. (He observes bugs— butterflies, spider's, ants even.. he likes the critters)
Giblet likes to hang around outside, but in the shade. He doesn't do too well in the heat he found out, but it's not like he doesn't go out in the sun at least sometimes!
Kissy likes to go out to the sun for flowers, usually hanging out under the shade of trees and making flower crowns.. and Huggy? He's happy to be wherever she is, of course! What, did you expect anything different?
Daddy Long Legs rather stays inside or in the shade. He doesn't step out much, unless it's one of those days where the temperatures aren't extreme! Then he might venture out for a bit!
The Nightmare Critters vary, but most don't care! Only Poe seems to actually be opposed to going out in the sun.
Heading to sleep now cuz I have work tmr and it's almost midnight ghhhh.. This fuckass heatwave gonna maul me istg.
